I really want to give this gym 5 stars, I really do. The machines are the best I’ve ever used, the new powerlifting section has some top tier equipment, and the owners are super nice. Arguably the best gym I’ve ever been to.
I just can’t ignore the negative vibe some of the members give off. I’ve Been going to this gym for about a year and I’ve noticed that it can get pretty hostile at times. It’s a competitive atmosphere and some of these men carry very big egos. I’ve had other dudes shoulder check me because I didn’t move out the way fast enough, I’ve been looked at with the most deathly side eyes because I asked if someone was using a machine. Unwelcoming glances and stares were daily, it felt like i “wasn’t allowed” to be there. This next comment might offend some people, if your of darker skin complexion just be a bit more careful around here, I’ve always felt like I was being watched. At first I didn’t think anything of it because people watch other people at the gym, but after a year of going to this gym and living in this city, you start to understand how people feel about you. If you know you know. Nevertheless like i said the owners are decent people and this gym is always improving and has some of the best equipment...
Read moreI get anxious, and don't know why Laid back gyms? In short supply I usually go in the am time Lift some weights and make up rhymes
I'm a bit of a chubby man Running as far as my chubby legs can I watch Friends on the Stairmaster stand XL sweats like tights, no Peter Pan I cuss and strain while I pass a mile I don't talk much, but try to smile When any person passes by But I get anxious and I don't know why
It's true I tend to stare at my feet Or the clock on a screen 'til my 15 are complete There are men and women, ripped, elite But visceral fat clogs my every heart beat
One glorious day, I'll tell you though At 5.2 speed, jogging to, and fro My stomach grumbles started to grow And I thought alone, so I could let one blow It's awkward to admit, that on that day A young Amazon woman had slipped in, away From my sight, and I must confess I think my gas gave her face a caress Though she never laughed, or put me down I regret I did this, and sometimes frown
Yet every time I arrive to slay Whether or not my intestines obey I can tell I've progress, oh yes And never more, shall my gas caress Any gym goers, I'll use both eyes Even if I get anxious and don't know why Because this gym, I swear, won't lie Is where you can rage even...
Read moreI have been to quite a few gyms in my life but nothing compares to Fitness Junky for a multitude of reasons. First off, they have the widest array of equipment, from old school to new school, I’ve seen under one roof. Whether you’re looking for free weights, weight training machines, cardio equipment, cable crossovers, power cages, punching bags, or group fitness classes, they have it! Their flooring is resilient and the colors and theme throughout the gym are conducive to a motivating workout. This powerhouse is a woman-owned business and she teaches the group fitness classes 6 days/wk. They’re also continually upgrading the gym to make it better for the members— just in 2020, they put down all new flooring, added a badass cable cross over, and remodeled the bathrooms! The also have a daycare staffed with the best ladies! Everyone from the members to the staff and trainers are always friendly. Whether it’s Marla & Craig or one of their staff working the front desk, they will greet you by name and ask about your day and I appreciate that. Whether you’re a local or visiting PCB, if you’re looking for a great workout, you won’t find another...
