EDIT: Went back to this GameStop a week later and was told that the guy had lied and it was released. Bought it today. The employee working this evening was great! Thanks!
Typically when I leave a review, it’s to praise outstanding service. Not this time. My husband and I visited GameStop yesterday evening and found an amazing Funko Pop, Naruto Vs. Pain (1433). We make it a rule to only buy Pops that we find and no shopping online as it makes it more interesting and fun… We bring it up to ring out and we are told that it cannot be sold to us as doesn’t release until January 16, 2024… Then the cashier has the audacity to tell us that GameStop will get fined $10,000 and he will lose his job. My husband and I were very calm, but confused, as we can see that the item did ring up and we were prompted to pay for the item.
It is November. If you have an item out on the shelves that doesn’t release until January, that is your fault. We listened to him complain that Funko Pops are accidentally being placed early everywhere… then why did our hopes get brought up because this store did it too? Bad experience.
Oh, and I checked online…. This Funko is released EVERYWHERE else. Interesting.

Read moreI was bringing my EXCITED child up to this GameStop, so he could look at their selection of games for his new PS5 to have other options than the Walmart and other places around us. But to my SURPRISE, as we approach the closed, locked glass door and tried to open it, we noticed the customers inside with the “worker” (If that’s what you call these type of people) look at us while talking to each other and using everything in them to ignore us and most definitely not acknowledge the fact that we were standing at the Front Door, wanting to come into the store. I can’t imagine what else someone would be standing were we were for another reason?? Pretty WILD! That’s when we NOTICED THE SMALL YELLOW “BE BACK IN 30 mins” sign taped to the glass door! I wasn’t sure if this was left on the door from the “worker” (Again, I wouldn’t put that person in the same classification as any worker I know) or if they this was their plan to be able to close the store early. Now, that I’m outside typing this and looking back at the situation, that person getting a paycheck signed by GameStop was most likely closing the store early. Read moreI have NO idea how there are bad reviews about customer service. These guys are wonderful and had no issue explaining everything to my 10 year old and husband about all the games they asked about. They even helped me with a game that I was interested in. They are amazing at what they do with explanations and descriptions of any game you ask about. They also did not get upset when our 4 year old wanted to look and touch things.
