24 hour surveillance rest stop. Plenty of parking. It’s your average pit stop restroom but it’s decent enough to not be overly disgusted. Many garbage cans, recycling bins, doggy bags, ashtray dispenser. Walking through the center doors there is a porta a potty, guides, maps, lost and found bin, water fountain.

Visited this place in February, had a good amount of snow and clear blue sky. You can do skiing and tubing here and they also give you skiing lessons. You can buy summit passes at Timberline lodge or through there online website. Car parking and restrooms have ample space.

I mean seriously ... Where else will you ever find an indoor portapotty? And also, if you have a second, it's fun to zip over to see the old-school ski chalet. Maybe coolest rest stop ever. Also note the special fifteen-minute parking for the rest stop specifically ...

This "rest area" is in the parking lot directly to your right after you exit the highway. It is busy and chaotic in the parking lot, with snowboarders just walking right out in front of you as you creep through the parking area, your bladder ready to explode. There are like 5 dedicated spots for the "rest stop", which even makes it more inconvenient. IF you can get past the tour busses or whatever they are. The bathrooms are maintained well, but you don't notice that, tears streaming from your desperate eyes as you dead run for the commode.

Whoever thought this was a "good idea" to jam a "rest stop" in with a ski area parking lot should have had that idea shut down immediately. Next time I'll stop along the road and use a bush. Save myself the...

Been here many times and the place is well enough kept for arrest area. Well lit and safe. Cons: Parking lot is FULL of big potholes, no real semi-truck parking although you could find a place most the time. We stopped here and changed and fed our newborn for about 30 minutes and the whole time people were doing donuts in the parking lot -not normally a huge deal, but they started actually getting close to the building and where people were parked, then when we went to leave one got within 2ft of our car while sliding backwards. State Snowplows were in and out 5 plus times and state police is almost across the street. I'm all for some fun but things were a...

I love driving up to Government camp every so often just to play in the snow a little with my truck. But since your required to have a parking/snow pass I never stay long! Lodge looks cool on the outside.(no pun intended LOL) beautiful building! But really not much to look at on the inside as far as Free guest goes! May be nicer for paying guest that pay to stay over night? I’ve heard the Resturant is very expensive! But also hear the food is good too! If your a skier you probably enjoy it there more, but for non skiers there’s not a lot to do there but just look at the scenery! 1/2 hour to hour and I’m heading back down...
