High Mountain Bakery & Deli — Restaurant in Oregon

I highly recommend stopping for a sandwich at the High Mountain Café, Bakery & Deli in Government Camp. The word "sandwich" doesn't usually excite me, but these sandwiches are delicious, especially the hot ones. They also serve a variety of breakfast sandwiches. Unfortunately, they have been shortening their hours, since not many people stop there after skiing. They used to be open till 4 pm, then cut down to 3 pm, and now they close at 2 pm. But if you ski hard and get tired by 1 pm, come and try this delicious food. Or, ski down the ungroomed Glade Trail to Government Camp and have lunch here before taking the Mt. Haven't eaten here, only picked up espresso. First time person working the coffee stand had no idea how to make our drinks & wasn't sure whether they could do blended drinks. The second time the woman working the counter wasn't friendly at all, seemed like she was having a bad day --or was at the end of her shift & couldn't wait to go home. That time my drink was fine (mocha with extra shot & almond flavor), but my boyfriend's was disgusting --it was something off their menu board (after dark? Or something similarly named) that he ordered blended & it was layers of weak burned coffee, shaved ice, & more burned coffee. He tossed it at the rest stop after taking, like, two drinks.

Food is generally good. Good experiences previously. On my recent visit they messed up my to go order. Female Manager (Sorry I did not get her name) who was at the grill cooking became irate with me when I approached the counter after checking the bag. I politely informed her my order was wrong. She snapped at me that "I got what I ordered". I was shocked and politely explained what I had ordered. She looked around, found my correct sandwich laying on the counter in another bag and actually threw it at me. Another employee witnessed it and actually said "sorry" to me for her actions. I understand people have bad days but it was really crazy behavior. I then witnessed her be rude with another customer as I walked out. Its a shame, been going there for 7 years but...
