Beware that it is VERY DIFFICULT to cancel your membership at this location!!! I joined in October 2023 after my previous gym went under and after a trial period. It felt like it was going to be similar in terms of the range of workouts that I was previously getting at my prior gym. I never really clicked with most of the people in the classes (there are much more competitive vibes than my previous gym), but I was always able to find at least one other person in the group to work next to. You work through stations and get feedback from the coaches as they roam the room. Most of the coaches were at least decently engaging and gave good feedback. Coach Gustavo was by far the highest energy, most engaging and is definitely worth staying for. The gym is in a warehouse with poorly working ac and upgrades were thankfully made in January to the flooring. A lot of the equipment is older but works, but eventually that will need upgrading as well.
I had a really tough year during my membership and my brother passed away in January of 2024, and for most of the year I would try to make it back in routinely but would only be able to go for a week or two at most and then would not be able to make it back in due to all of the changes accompanying losing a loved one and going through probate. I finally made the tough decision to end my membership because I wasnât going frequently enough to afford the $137.39 monthly membership (I had a discount for working at one of the hospitals in the area so normally it is more than that) and called the company on 9/16. I called daily and left messages. I texted the number the same message and got a response thanking me for my INTEREST, but no further response. I ended up going in on the following Sunday and was told to send an email to infowinterpark@hcfbc.com in addition to calling/texting the number 321-204-2238 (which is the number I had been using but FYI this is NOT the number listed on the window of the business, that number is out of service). I sent multiple emails and waited but never got a response, so I had to go back in the following Sunday. I told them I wouldnât leave until this was resolved, but I was told that Daniel who owns the business was not available that morning and would call me that afternoon. I was also told that one other person was trying to cancel as well and he was giving them the runaround as well. Sure enough, he didnât call me that Sunday afternoon, so I went back in the next day. I was told that my membership was cancelled and asked for proof, and was told that I could take a picture of the screen but that there would be no other way to show that it was canceled. On October 14th, I was once again charged for the service. I went back in AGAIN and was told that my payments were active in the system so I would be charged again if they didnât fix it, so they were going to escalate to their finance person and see if I could get a refund. I got an email FINALLY showing that my membership was canceled BUT they said because my first written correspondence was sent 9/22 via email that I would not be able to get a refund for the 10/14 charge because I owed that amount (30 days after written correspondence).
If you decide to come here, please proceed with caution!!! The management has changed recently and there are lots of new coaches⌠it seems like this location is hurting for money and are thus using shady practices when it comes to canceling! Make sure to send an email or other written notice as soon as possible so that they canât say that you owe another 30 days despite constantly calling and never...
Read moreSo youâre doing it, huh? Youâve heard some people talking about fitness or how a gym changed your life and you want to see if itâs legit. If youâre anything like me, there are few diets or fitness approaches you havenât tried and eventually fallen off the wagon of. Iâm not here to sell you anything but what I can give you, is my experience. When I first heard about HCFO it was via my sister. I was convinced sheâd joined some kind of pre-workout snorting cult and dismissed her. For a year. A year of gentle nudging and me saying this was not the place for me. For context, I was in (denial about) the worst health status of my life and as far from the idea of being fit or hardcore as I had ever been. When I got the diagnosis of prediabetes and hypertension, it sounded an awful lot like the closing of the coffin was getting far closer than Iâd like. I spoke with Gabe (heâs a trainer there now, love him) and he took time to talk to me. He walked me through the challenge and I felt that even in my state this was something I could do. After all, you can do anything for 60 days, right?
Oh boy, was I right. It was through this challenge that I rebuilt a normal relationship with food. I walked away with an understanding of portions that were nourishing and not a punishment for being alive. Through sweat, tears, and soreness I reconnected with my body. My body that I didnât trust and the body that through the guidance and experience here has been able to do amazing things.
While HCFO may not be for everyone, if youâre willing to show up, youâve gotten through 90% of the bull thatâs in your way. HCFO paved the way not only for my health but was the first step in getting to the goal of motherhood. Now at 28 weeks pregnant Iâm still active and looking forward to the next journey, the one that would not have been possible...
Read moreI joined this gym back in October I was scared because I have a tendency to start things and not finish them and I'm not made of money so I was worried(which it is not a bad price but not something I wanted to waste) I was well over 200lbs actually right around 220 pounds and couldn't even run for 30sec straight... So I finally decided to just try it. My first day was with both Nick and Alex (trainers/owners) and right off the bat I was introduced to everyone and welcomed I never felt judged. I was pushed by the other members and got one on one with the trainers. I left feeling sore but happy and I knew I was in the right spot. I lost 20lbs by the end of the year then I decided to join the 60 day transformation challenge they do because I wanted to be more fit and loss more weight and be happy with my body which I will complete in 2 weeks. Since the beginning of the year I've lost 31 more pounds. I am the happiest I have ever been in my entire life and I have more confidence then ever!!!! I HAPPILY wake up and make it to the 5:15am class every weekday. My mind is clearer and my focus is more on point. I can now successfully run a 5k in just over 30min and am down to a size 5-6 in jeans..... So I feel that everyone should know about this gym!!! For those of you who read this long post please share it and continue to share it for I want to spread the word so more people can feel as amazing as I do. It all started with a little push from my brother William and his gym and landed me here where the real magic took place!!!!!...
