First of all, this is not a review out of emotion.. I gave these folks multiple times to do better. I ordered over $200 worth of food for a luncheon and they refused to provide plates. I ate there multiple times afterwards and then I decided to bring my Puerto Rican wife (who does't look hispanic) to try it out. When you go in its kind of cafeteria style and while my wife was attempting to order her lunch another spanish speaking patron starting barking what they wanted.. The person behind the counter stop serving my wife and took care of the spanish speaking patron. When they finally came back to my wife and she began to speak spanish, then the person behind the counter says "OH I didn't realize you spoke spanish". The final straw today was very similiar.. I was in the middle of asking questions about what each dish was and another spanish speaking patron spoke over me and directed the person behind the counter as to what he wanted. The person behind the counter stopped serving me and served the spanish speaking person who spoke over me. I walked out and I will NEVER be back and I will do everthing in my power to advise everbody I can to not go here unless you are hispanic. This restaurant does not welcome non spanish speaking individuals they just tolerate them and they will take your money but they do not provide the same level of service thats for sure!...
Read moreTo start, I'm your typical white guy who only knows "no hablo español" even though I live here in Orlando, FL. I had an early morning appointment to bring in my motorcycle for a tyre change (Central Florida Cycles is amazing) and had some time to kill, so I walked to this joint for breakfast. Outside looks ... meh. Inside is small and also meh but at least is clean. The server helped me with suggestions from the menu: coffee, omelette and toast. The coffee was amazing -- exactly like when I visit a PR/Cuban friend's house. Then the food arrived. Holy crap, it's too much food. The plate was overflowing from the omelette (tomatoes, cheese, onion, sweet pepper and bacon) ... no joke ... a full sized plate. The bread had to come out on a separate bread plate. The omelette was delicious! Again, way too much food. The bread was soft, buttery and toasted. For my taste, it was much too greasy, but I never use butter. Lastly, it was so inexpensive even for the portion! Overall, I would have given this place 5-stars had it a better presentation/theme/look/feel, but the food really pushed the boundary for comfort and kept a solid 4. I highly recommend especially if...
Read moreBased on the the positive reviews I decided to come in for breakfast. When I ordered the special 2 eggs with bacon and home fries, toast and coffee for $5.49, it came out without the home fries. First, I had to ask for my coffee because I guess they forgot, but then when my food came out there were no home fries, when I asked where are the home fries like it described on the menu, the answer I got was"oh, it's takes too long to cook." So I figured they were not going to charge full price, but of course they charged the full price of the dish. I was going to give this place a try for lunch, but after this experience, I would...
