Today, on November 21st, I had the pleasure of being styled by Paige, who was assisted by her associate Aleecia. My appointment commenced at 12:30 pm and concluded around 3:45 pm. I am of mixed race (black and white) with thick, shoulder-length, curly hair.
Paige and Aleecia expertly styled my hair based on two pictures I provided. One image showcased the color I desired, while the other depicted the style and cut I was aiming for. In summary, I received highlights, a layered cut, and a styling session involving a blowout and curling iron. This visit marked a departure from my usual approach to hair careâI rarely applied heat and had only dyed my hair twice for highlights.
My experience with Paige was exceptional; I left feeling like I had finally found a stylist who truly understands my hair type. What set Paige apart was her thoughtful approach. Rather than merely replicating the images I brought in, she considered my natural hair and envisioned how the style would translate outside of the salon. For instance, recognizing that the desired cut might appear awkward when my hair is curly, she made adjustments. This ensured that I could achieve the desired cut without it looking odd when I wore my hair curlyâdemonstrating her understanding of different hair types and her commitment to long-term satisfaction.
Paige's insightful questions about my styling preferences in the weeks to come enlightened me on various aspects of hair care. The result was a hairstyle that not only exceeded my expectations but also left me feeling refreshed. My hair looked even better than the photos, and I absolutely love my new look. It's invigorating to embrace something new for a few months.
Aleecia assisted in styling my hair. Given the thickness of my hair, the process of highlighting it isn't quick. Aleecia prepared my hair, though I can't recall the exact terminology for the prep work. I believe it involved brushing and blowing out my hair so Paige could then highlight it, achieving the envisioned look for the next couple of months. After highlighting, Aleecia also washed and assisted in blowing out my hair, setting the stage for the layer cutting process. Aleecia, is also well-versed in various hair types. Together, Paige and Aleecia proved to be the ultimate duo. A heartfelt thank you to both of you for making this experience amazing. I wish you both the best. P.S. Paige, I appreciate the suggestions you provided for the curtain bangs. Leaving them out during up-dos creates a fantastic look, and I'm excited about the variety of styles I can now achieve with this new haircut. THANK YOU!
My overall impression of the salon is that everyone is kind, hardworking, and talented. Upon my arrival, three individuals were briefly stationed at the front desk. I use the term "briefly" because this salon operates in an all-hands-on-deck environment. Individuals take the initiative to assist stylists and engage in learning opportunities during their free time, without specific direction. While there is always someone covering the front desk, you may not always see three individuals present because no one simply stands around at this salon. The entire team is dedicated to ensuring guests are happy and supporting stylists in any way possible. The team dynamic at this salon is truly commendable. I regret not noting the names of the front desk staff who assisted me during check-in and check-out so I can include there names in this review. Their friendliness and professionalism made a lasting impression on...
Read moreI had one of the worst experiences in this salon. Do not go here!! Terrible experience. Initially I was not going to write a review. I had an appointment for a balayage on November 18, 2023 at the Land O Lakes location my appt was at 1:30pm, I stated to the stylist that I would like a caramel color balayage. After being in the salon until almost 6pm, I did not receive what I asked for I ended up with RED hair, full head of red hair. I did emotionally inform the manager of the salon that this was not what I asked for and that I was scheduled to take some family photos the following week. The manager very nicely coordinated for me to go to the Lutz location the following day, because she did see my frustration with the service. When I got home I took off my shirt and the stylist didnât tell me that they damaged my shirt in the back with hair dye. Completely stained with red dye, I was walking with a stained shirt!!! Next day the stylist had me for about 3 hrs in the Lutz location trying to take all the red dye from my hair out and they werenât able to do what I originally asked for because it would be to over processed. I obviously asked for a refund, not complete refund I know they took time and obviously used products. They did approve a 50% refund of the amount originally charged. After a bit of word of mouth I received a great review of one of their stylist at the Wesley Chapel location, today after almost 3 months from the horrible experience, I decided to make an appointment with the stylist I was referred to see if I was originally wrong about this salon and I called, was very honest with the receptionist, she put me in a brief hold, she came back stating that they could not accept my appointment request because they issued me a refund. I basically am banned from there 5 locations because they made a mistake of giving me a wrong service. Horrible experience, they provided the wrong service and damaged my property. Would not recommend If I could give 0...
Read moreIâm not one to leave bad reviews, but this needs to be said. Back in December, I got my hair done by Angelina. It was my first time ever getting my hair colored, and unfortunately, the experience completely took away my excitement.
For a salon that presents itself as a luxury establishment, the service was very underwhelming. Angelina didnât take the time to assess my hair properly and did not follow through with what I had asked for. I requested a full balayage but received a partial instead. I had to return because an entire section at the back was left untouched, creating a disconnected look. After the correction, I was left with three different shades in my hair.
I also made it clear that my hair grows fast and specifically asked for the color to be placed closer to the roots, but she did the complete opposite, leaving a noticeable gap. It honestly felt like she just did whatever she wanted, regardless of what I asked for.
Additionally, I requested layers and curtain bangs, but the cut was poorly executedâeven though she cut 5-6 inches off. As someone who is extra careful with their hair, this was a very disappointing experience.
I was charged over $450 for a result that was far from what I expected. For a salon of this reputation, I was hoping for an amazing experience but, unfortunately, I ended up...
