Kallis German Butcher Shop — Attraction in Port Charlotte

I LOVE this butcher and deli I am so happy we found it... and it is now my favorite meat shop :)

The meat is truly fresh, clean and healthy tasting. The prices are better than walmart. I have found out all about GMO and every piece of meat you buy in a grocery store, especially walmart, are full of Genetically Modified Organisms, hormones, antibiotics and believe it or not, they treat it with a toxic gas and ammonia to make it look fresh, even when it's NOT, feed that to your loved ones? Nope!

Every package are NOT packaged, ground or chopped in the back of the store as you may think, it comes from all over the country from franken farms and is packaged at a warehouse... it's all mixed together, so if you get sick, or your child gets sick you won't even know where it came from. Yuck.

Did you know that every ground meat package you buy at any grocery store, has pink slime in it and they label it "100% ground beef", or ground pork?

Kallis told me their animals are grass-fed and they never get any fillers, hormones, antibiotics, or GMO feed. They are not raised in feedlots, but on a real farm. That made me so happy. You can REALLY tell the difference in freshness, texture and taste.Thank you Kallis, for providing our community with Delicious Healthy cuts from healthy happy animals.

I also got some canadian bacon, OH MY GOSH Food-Gasm, lol just as the meat, so clean and wonderful, your mouth is HAPPY :)

You know you are eating high quality meats and cold cuts, when you get it at Kallis...

If you're looking for German deli in the Port Charlotte area, this is the place to go! The selection of "wurst" is excellent: Bratwurst, Weisswurst, Bauernwurst, Knackwurst, Blutwurst, Frankfurters, and on and on. The downside is that it's hard to choose! There's also an excellent selection of cold cuts as well as the standard butcher store staples: ground beef, roasts, chops, chicken, sausage, etc. The service has always been very friendly and accommodating ... want that wrapped for the freezer? No problem! Sliced extra thin ... sure! Not sure if you'd like something? You can often get a sample.

There's also a selection of european style grocery items available, along with a small wine/beer selection. If you want a specific European wine or beer, you'll probably have to go to a specialist. But unless you're very picky, you should be able to find something you'll like.

During the "high season", expect to wait in line for your number to be called ... the line often wraps around the store aisles.

I've never experienced this kind of treatment in any stores in the SW Florida area. A lady immediatley walk into your face and ask me to wear a mask. I understand most people are afraid of a virus that has 99.94% survival rate. However, please understand there are people who also suffer from disability or medical conditions that don't allow them to cover their faces. It would be nice to state your policy in a gentle tone instead of a hostile way toward anybody. It's okay to ask customers to leave if you do not want to do business with them. Shouting and raising your voice at the door as soon as someone walk in IS NOT OKAY. Please respect ADA rule and have more management training with your employees or even the manager. I'd let my friends and family in the port charlotte and punta gorda area know about this butcher shop and share my experiences with some neighbors of mine. I believe "Beef Country" across the street would have a better service than this place.
