Was there yesterday. I was looking for a particular item (SKU 97469), a security torx set. I wanted to make sure that they had one, so I called them. I gave the person I was speaking with the SKU and she told me that they had it. I asked her if she could do me a favor and check to make sure it was the green T5 - T15 tamper proof set. She asked how she'd be able to tell if they were tamper proof, and I told her to check for the hole in the center of each one. She gets back on the phone and said "we do - they're in aisle 5."
I got to the store, went to aisle 5, and there were none. Next to the empty hanger were six of SKU 97471, which were T10 - T40.
I went up to the counter & spoke with Morgan, who was very helpful & explained what I was looking for & that I'd called earlier in case the person I'd spoken with set one aside. Then Sue (the person I'd spoke with) met me in aisle 5. She informed me that 97471 was the set I'd asked for. I explained that was not correct, I had given her the other SKU. She responded that "no it wasn't." I then showed her the web page on my phone showing the specific item I asked for (including the 97469 SKU number), & could she look to see if they might have any out back. Off she went. After about 15 or so minutes of waiting, I went back up to the counter to see if there was any news. There was Sue, completely off doing something else, no update, didn't care, all done helping. Sue completely avoided making eye contact & then headed for the office.
I then asked Morgan what the heck is going on, because I thought the other one was checking to see if they might have one. Meanwhile, the person I went with brought the manager by, and he asked what he could help with. I again explained what I needed, but he was unable to find it. Unlike Sue, at least he put an effort into trying to help. When he didn't have it, he checked around to see if another store might have one.
I thanked him for trying, and explained my irritation with the other, useless employee (got the feeling this wasn't the first time he was hearing this). I try to buy from local places to help them rather than just ordering stuff online, but what's the point if you go to the local shop and they just don't care/can't be bothered helping. Bought the item online...
Read moreI stopped into Harbor freight on Monday, two days ago. I was looking for two specific things, a saw-blade, and a multi pack of 9mm retractable knives.
I was able to quickly locate the software I needed. However, I went up and down all the aisles and I couldn’t find the 9mm knives.
I went up to the cashier station where Lyza and a male employee were working. Lyza was actively waiting on Customer. The other gentleman wasn’t so I asked him if I can ask him my question. He obliged. He didn’t think they had the big pack anymore. The single ones at the counter didn’t have a price on them. So I asked him if he could scan and tell me how much they were.
Now during the exchange with the male employee, Lisa was so abrupt and rude. Numerous times letting me know that I was in her way & talking under breath, grumbling. “Do you want them or not?” It’s like she was annoyed and gonna make sure everybody knew. She was the same way with two other male customers.
Eventually, a male employee, a different cash register offered to ring me up. I was so thankful.
Sadly, I didn’t get the male employees names, I should have. I feel bad that they have to work with such strife caused by one person. People can make or break a business. She clearly doesn’t understand she’s in a line of work where she’s to provide customer service. I realize Lisa won’t ruin the franchise of Harbor freight. Even though I got the impression that this is a regular occurrence.
Today I needed a couple things to finish my project, typically I would’ve gone to Harbor freight. Instead, I went...
Read moreI visited harbor freight many times online but this is the first time I visited them in person. I was very impressed by the store layout. The store was very clean and bright. The isles were very well-marked and easy-to-navigate. I picked out several items and brought them out to the front and checked out rapidly and without problem. Remarkably the store is only a few blocks from where I live so I'll be back for sure. You owe it to yourself to check them out! Outstanding deals you need to see! Everyone I go there, I find something new that I hadn't seen before. Check it out for yourself! Update: Harbor Freight is one of my go-to stores for shopping for anything related to what men do. Their store is packed chock full of tools, small electric tools, safety equipment, anything for repair work. Welders, air compressors, you name it. If you can't find it at Harbor Freight you simply don't need it. The people are friendly and efficient and the store, while pack full, is clean and neatly arranged. You need to allocate a few hours or multiple trips to really appreciate what they have as it is MASSIVE. My recommendation stands. You MUST check them out!
Great place to go for reasonably...
