Magnolia Nails & Spa Lakeland — Attraction in Lakeland

Our experience was AWFUL, JUDGMENTAL, and RUDE.

When we walked into the spa we weren’t welcomed properly.

We called ahead and made an appointment for 4 of us to get pedicures and was informed that they can do our pedicures at the same time.

When they sat us, we were sat in the chairs for 30 minutes waiting for someone to assist us. -No water in the tub -wasn’t informed how to turn the chair massager on -Employees kept looking at us walking by customers were also judging us due to not being super dressy. -employees were not personable; but were to other customers.

When the employees finally assisted us, they helped us by body size at different times. Still no information on how to work the massaging chair and no apologies on the wait time. When we said we wanted the basic package, we were asked multiple times on if we were sure if they was the package that we wanted. The employees also tried to push us into other packages. When we said no. It went further down hall from there.

Guest 1 didn’t get the full service that comes with the basic service. Guest 2 got old nail polish where they had to put acetone in it to loosen up the thickness. When we asked we were informed it was bad nail polish. Then the employee corrected himself and said that they have to do that sometimes. The guest asked for black and when she walked outside she realized it was Navy Blue and bubbled a few hours later. Guest 3 was fine with her service Guest 4 the employee came and then left for another 15 minutes and then she came back smiled and said sorry and put her mask back on. When guest 4 was almost done; she looked at him and said “you can go and sit over there”. Even though gust 4 was a man, she didn’t ask if he wanted a polish. He wanted clear.

We were supposed to get manicures today, but canceled due to the AWFUL experience from yesterday.

Over all, the experience was very Disappointing and we will not be returning.

If I could; I would place this review at zero stars.

For the service you’re provided, the prices are way too high.

For anyone looking to get their nails done, I would totally recommend somewhere else.

They used to be higher quality but unfortunately I’ll never go back because the last three times I’ve been, they lack quality, they have an horrible turnover rate so everyone that was really good is gone now and they charge like they’re in L.A.

If you’re going to keep raising your prices that’s acceptable, but then you absolutely must raise your quality, service and standards… just one experience was $42.50 for a white on white French toe nail polish CHANGE and eyebrow and lip wax.

They went from $13 nail polish change to $18 base plus $5 extra for French and the guy was very rude because I didn’t want acrylic on my toes and he said he couldn’t do what I wanted then and proceeded to stand up and walk away, the owner whom I usually get came over and explained to him how to do it, then he proceeded to do it but with a reluctant attitude towards me, I had to ask him to cut my toenail 3 times before he got it the right length and he never buffed them so when he painted the toenail white, it was bumpy, uneven, and he put it on real thick so yeah not elegant looking at all which is what I was going for.

The lady who was waxing was literally just a wax.. she didn’t put her finger on the lip to avoid unnecessary pain and she didn’t cut/pluck the eyebrows to even them out.

I used to get a eyebrow wax and they would comb them, cut them, plucked and waxed, not anymore and they charged $10 for eyebrow and $8 for lip, plus a $1.02 convenience fee for using the debit card.

My entire life I always tip and I tip very well but this is the first time I had the courage to just say “no thank you “ They’ve lost a repeat customer due to the constant price increases and the lack of Quality that’s provided, the pricing isn’t justified by what type of services they provide. I have no problem paying higher prices if they are justified by what service I receive and unfortunately this is 3 times now that I’m not happy about the service provided. I’ will not go back, mainly because of the rudeness...

Absolutely wonderful experience!! Looking forward to going back !! Because it was a holiday I called first to see if they were open. I was told that they were not fully staffed due to the holiday and that it might be a long wait. I told him that was fine and headed that way. Immediately upon entering I was cheerfully greeted by several employees. There were a couple of ladies already waiting so I found a seat and sat down. While waiting I looked through the color selection which was good, and made my choice. I also admired the beautiful and relaxing decor as I waited about 20 minutes. Lucy was my pedicure technician and all I can say is WOW!! I got the CBD pedicure which included everything and she did a fabulous job. She was so gentle and super nice. I've never had a wax massage like that before (wax poured straight from a candle) but it felt amazing. The wax wasn't too hot like many other places. She had seen the nail art I had before and asked if I would like her to do something. I agreed and she did the simple yet beautiful flower that's pictured. Next was the manicure and Dony was my technician for it. I needed a fill for my overlay, a cutdown and new color. He talked with me as he worked and was very nice. He also saw my previous nail art and asked if I would like him to do a flower also since that's what Lucy did, I agreed and he did the lovely flower with gem that's pictured. Overall a lovely and...
