
I have had nothing but AMAZING experiences here. All of the nail techs that have taken care of me have all been very professional and courteous. They have fixed any flaws or issues I have had with my nails even if it was my own fault!
About 4 weeks ago I came in with an appointment to get my nails done. There was a short wait maybe 15 minutes or less as the nail tech that was going to do my service finished up with her current customer. As soon as I sat down and she started to work on my hands another customer came into the salon. This customer was told that she would have to wait about 15 to 20 minutes or less for the next available nail tech. She became agitated and argumentative complaining right away that she should not have to wait because she had an appointment! It was explained to her that she had made an appointment for the next available tech, not a specific person and that she would have to wait. She became even more upset and acted like she was too entitled to wait. So much so that my nail tech had to stop what she was doing several times to try to deal with this lady.
They got her in a chair in less than 5 minutes and the WHOLE time she was there she just complained about every thing! She waited until her services were complete (pedi and full set of dip) she had the AUDACITY to complain about the final look of her hands (with out giving Nails 1st a chance to fix the "issues"). The owner said to her what don't you like? Tell us so we can fix it. Instead of doing that she complained again about being made to wait a short while and said her nails looked Ugly and Unfinished. Since the customer would not tell them what was wrong or how they could fix it... The owner finally told her to sit down and she (the owner) would take them all off for her and she (customer) would not have to pay for the service.
Customer Lady would not let them fix the issue so when she kept on with her complaining the owner finally told her that she could find another salon if she was not happy with the results here. Customer lady paid and left.
Through out all of this all of the nail techs that interacted with this customer were very professional and accommodating as they could be with out giving her their services for free. In the end Myself and a few others voted her off the island and said that we would like it if she...

When I came in I had to wait about 10 mins before sitting down for a pedicure which is fine I understand. I got my pedicure done and that took about an hour and a half. The lady who was doing my pedicure also decided to do my nails. She sat me down and put the foil on my nails at about 10:53 am and then went to grab another customer. I watched her soak offf, drill, clip, and prepare to paint this other customers nails before I finally decided it was time for me to go. At 11:25 I started to take the foil off my nails and was prepared to leave and just pay. As I was doing so the lady came back to my chair and wanted to try and put the foil back on my nails. I told her I had been there since 9:30 and if they canāt complete my nails by 12pm (approx 30 mins). Then I would need to go. She continuously tried to get me to stay and I finally just told her I need to go. I felt like my time was disrespected. I made a 9:30 appointment for both my nails and toes and there should be no reason that at 11:25 my finger nails still have not seen the dust of the dip. I had to walk out of the salon with my nails completely undone. This is the second time this has happened to me at this salon where I have made an appointment and it was completely ignored. Itās bad customer service. And I felt totally disregarded. I will probably not ever come back to this salon and I definitely will not encourage anyone else to go here either. Their time management is non-existent which makes poor customer service. At least my toes look great but it was not worth being disregarded as a paying customer who had an appointment. Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāll start by saying Iāve visited most of the salons here in MJ within the last 4 years and there has always something wrong or something that couldāve been done better. Nails 1st has been the FIRST and ONLY salon that had everything I was looking for and MORE.
I called to make an appointment and as soon as the young lady answered, I knew I would have a good experience. She was understanding and provided phenomenal customer service. I was able to get a same day appointment, which worked out in my favor, since I waited last minute to get things done.
The moment I walked in, I was quickly greeted and was taken to the back where Sophia did my gel pedicure, which I loved! The polish was done perfectly and for the first time in my many years of going to a salon, I did not have to point out any āflawsā due to it being done perfectly the first time.
Daniel did an amazing job on my full acrylic set with gel polish! Not only did he pay attention to detail but he made sure to address any and all questions that I had.
During these uneasy times with Covid still being a huge factor, the salon was clean, social distancing was maintained and masks are required. It was nice having a small sense of normalcy, all while it being safely done.
