So we had the taste for Indian food and saw this place had a decent score and the food online looked good...I had Butter Chicken and Naan Bread on my mind so after a day of shopping we drove to this place. Upon arriving we saw a party of about 6 people leaving (Indonesians)..We entered to be greated and seated ...1 person brought menus and 2 glasses of water with no straws...We sat our booth for about 10 minutes in what looked to be an empty restaurant ..while the waiter and another gentleman brought out plastic containers out at bar area..So we patiently waited until I had to use restroom which was locked..While walking to restroom..Notice 2 other men laying in the booth of other tables...Upon retuning to my booth..We waited for another 5 minutes without any service still..Not to mention the restaurant felt as if the AC was not operating during on of the hottest days this year so far...Never felt so unwanted in a restaurant in my 5 years living in Nashville EVER...I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO ANYONE..We got up and left to find a MUCH BETTER RESTAURANT up the street that WELCOMED us and more IMPORTANTLY treated us like PAYING customers...WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, AS FAR AS CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. When we were leaving one of the gentleman looked at us as we were wrong...No SIR your establishment is horrible. Fortunately one of my Girlfriends coworker is Indonesian and she suggested a BETTER INDONESIAN RESTAURANT for us to experience. Date of visit was Saturday...
Read moreUpon arrival, we were seated and given a glass of water by the cleaner. We were then ignored for at least 10 - 15 minutes. Our waiter stopped by our table and rudely asked, ‘what do you want’?. After ordering, I went to use the ladies bathroom. It was occupied, so I waited outside, in a filthy, cluttered area. A man emerged from the ladies bathroom, and went into the kitchen indicating that he was a member of staff. The smell in the bathroom was horrendous, and there was feces all over the toilet bowl. Not something anyone would want to experience just before eating their dinner.
Our dinner arrived. The chicken was chewy and had a lot of fat and skin on it. The gravy it was in was ok. The breads we ordered arrived a while afterwards. While I was eating my food, the waiter placed a takeout box and a plastic bag next to me and my husband had to pay the bill, and tip our waiter, at the same time.
Upon reflection, I wish I had said something, but lights were being turned off and chairs put on the tables around us before I could gather my thoughts. We arrived at 8:30, by 9:05 we put my dinner in the takeout box and left.
A really disappointing and upsetting experience. My husband told me he heard that the table next to us sent a dish back because it had a hair in it. We won’t...
Read moreI normally love this place. They always give extra rice if you ask. This time, I asked for extra rice, and they brought out 2 bowls that were half the size. The curry bowl also seemed smaller. They brought out one extra real small bowl of rice after I complained .When I complained, the guy I normally deal with said they were washing dishes, and that all they had were the smaller bowls. That's not my problem; if you're going to serve food to money paying customers, be consistent. It's almost as if they thought they could get away with this b.s. without me beefing about it ...........an insult to my intelligence. As I payed my bill, I reiterated that I was dissatisfied with the portions, and was still hungry. The same guy said he thought he had pretty much covered "it". with the third bowl (after 3 small bowls, I'd bet I still got less than what I would have gotten with one normal sized bowl (single portions). I payed my bill, and gave the girl that served me about a third of what I leave the guy that normally serves me; she never came back to my table to ask if I needed anything else). Won't be back for some time (everyone deserves a second chance). I payed over $20 for real measly portions. I think I'm going to start making my own Indian dishes (they're not...
