Palm Beach Academy of Health and beauty — Attraction in Palm Springs

5 stars for my instructor 2 Stars for School. My experience at Palm Beach Academy of Health & Beauty SKIN CARE was a mix of challenges and highlights. While the skincare program was not fully operational during my time there AT ALL they do need to do a better job with products and a few other things, the saving grace was my instructor, Marissa Barbee. As someone new to Florida and the beauty industry, I was unsure of what to expect, but Ms. Barbee’s dedication and expertise turned my experience into something truly valuable.

She went above and beyond by providing her own materials to make the skincare program as effective as possible because the school wouldn’t, showing a level of commitment that was unmatched. Her teaching skills, patience, and genuine passion for skincare inspired me to dive deeper into the field. She’s not just an incredible educator—she’s also a mentor who pushes her students to achieve their best.

Even after I graduated, Ms. Barbee has continued to support me. She encouraged me to apply for a scholarship and sent me the application herself. Thanks to her, I am now back in school pursuing a Bachelor’s in Applied Science of Beauty and Wellness, an opportunity I wouldn’t have known about without her guidance.

Her kindness, encouragement, and dedication are truly remarkable. If you’re considering the skincare program, Ms. Barbee is the instructor you want. She made all the difference in my journey, and I’m so grateful for her unwavering support.

PS- After Graduating I did get an esthetician job 😇, and oh so love my job— I also came back to be a guest speaker at the school showing new skills and I couldn’t be happier, she asked me it was an amazing...

I do not recommend this school. The girl at the front desk is not trained to speak to people, she will just stare at you until you say “hello how are you, i’m here for _” and continue the empty stare. Completely unorganized and unprofessional. I was in the skincare program and our teacher would go to dollar tree to get product for us because the school was not providing. For your kit you pay for, you only get about $250 worth of materials for the price of $500. They said they would get more kit supplies for each individual student because of the money they shorted us in our kits and that never happened. Ms Marissa Barbee is very unprofessional and will share personal information you share with other students as well as test scores. She will take days off as well and there won’t be a teacher for the day. How are students getting hours with a licensed professional present in that situation? The entire staff is unprofessional and doesn’t have boundaries with their students or each other. It’s not a fun school, nor will you learn anything. They will shooo you out the door and have you fend for yourself after teaching...

This School is HORRIBLE I keep calling them because I need my license and they don't want to answer or respond to me and when I was there it was a horrible experience because they used to treat me like a servant, and I will do all the work and they never helped me in anything, I was basically there doing everything and I had all my credits already and they didn't want to let me graduate or other students, and when I finally did get to graduate they haven't helped me in getting my license the help they told me I was supposed to get they never gave it to me and I have been calling and insisting day after day and I have gotten...
