Permian Basin Fair & Exposition — Attraction in Odessa

I am usually a vendor for the Permian basin fair and this year in January 2023 I contacted for a refund…I emailed and also called and spoke to several on the phone before I finally got a hold of the new board President Bonifacio…I was told they would get back with me after they had a board meeting…which never happened. I was required during the fair for 2022 to pay half of my booth rent down which was $650. From October 2022 to January 2023 a lot personally happened from losing my father figure to having to close down my business. I feel like not only was I not taken seriously by the fair and the board but they refused to reach out and communicate with me. The fair should have been sent me letter to pay off my remaining balance and also sent me my contract which never happened. So they kept my money and rented out my spots to someone else on top of that…I know I won’t get my money back but I just want people to beware and not go thru the same thing I went through. Right when we got there, I planned on riding with my 3 year old daughter. Unfortunately, I was wearing sandals, and the ticket booth lady wasn't even going to sale me the wrist band until I traded shoes with my mom, even though I knew for sure that my strapped sandals weren't going to fall off of a kid ride. I even saw a family of 3, wearing "flip flops" with wrist bands already paid for! After I was wearing shoes, I went to pay for our wrist bands to another lady at a different booth and she questioned if my daughter was even tall enough. We've been to the fair plenty of times, and she questioned if she was about 4ft tall. There's rides that only require you to be about 3'4, and she wasn't even going to take my money! I honestly think they both had something against me and my daughter, but luckily, I did finally pay for our bracelets and enjoyed our night riding on the rides with her.
