Once I got past the "nurse practitioner" I was treated properly by the doctor. I have MS and finally had to be rude to see the actual doc. I was not in a relapse! She said based on some algorithm I was. Steroids do not stop muscle spasms which is what I needed treatment for. So the actual doc finally felt my back and said yes, you are having spasms in your low back. I could have saved an hours time at least, if I had been allowed to see the doctor right from the start. Then the doc said he wanted to do an xray. Xrays don't show nerves so I discussed that with him. He sends me for an xray which showed who knows what, cause afterwards the nurse practitioner came back with a shot of something and 12 pills to help calm the spasms, and told me he was ordering an MRI which should be in 2 days. It took 8. I had fallen really hard once while waiting for the MRI, so wanted a doc to check my upper back where I hit the large faucet falling as I tried to reach the soap. They refused at the Greenville location to check my upper back and they refused to give me my MRI cd. They also refused to give me anything in the way of muscle relaxers or pain meds to get me the 45 mins back home! Instead he sets me up with a pain management doc at the Spartanburg location for 2 days later. I don't need a pain management doc! Said I HAD to go. So after going to my PT who has been helping me for nearly 2 years and asking her if I needed to go to pain management--she said No as she shook her head--then proceeded with helping me. She said there's no bones pertruding, but took a picture of how tight the muscles were from shoulder blade down. Tens plus heat, then muscles massaged out brought my pain level way down and stopped the spasms for a little while. I left from seeing her and went straight back to Adnanced Urgent Care/Emergency MD/Pain Management for my xray and MRI CD and all the paperwork about everything. Notes, treatment, and reports. Again told I had to go to Pain Management. I ask why. They say because that's where I have to go. So finally I do and the first thing they want is for me to piss in a cup! I'm not a drug addict, but I'm not taking any drug tests without even knowing why I was sent there. Someone higher in the food chain tells me she can't answer my question till I piss in the cup! Nope... I'm in no need of your services in this department and walked back to the front. They had everything sitting there waiting on me, but as I started to read the notes that were so Not true, and I still didn't have my CDs! I finally had to get loud for them to hand over what was mine. I also had requested seeing one of the Urgent Care docs because of the fall. They said I was already checked for that. NOT! Anyhow the lady say she's counting to 5, then calling the police. I said give me my CDs and all my paperwork. I'll give you to the count of 3. Finally after being there for several hours, and automatically assumed a drug addict, I had what I needed to send to my doc at the MS Center of Atlanta. I'm only giving one star because I believed Dr Montagano when he said he would...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE! Please read this before going here! This is the worst billing experience I have ever had in my life. I read the reviews warning me of this, and I didn’t listen! Please don’t make the same mistake I did! Especially if you are filing insurance! My claim was denied due to them filing my old insurance, even though I called the very next business day after my appointment to make sure they had the right info! I had no clue there was an issue until 7 months after my appointment. I gave them the correct info, AGAIN, and they didn’t send the correct documentation for my claim to be processed! I went in to be seen and was told I owed a huge sum of money. I called BCBS, while in the office, to see what I could do to help getting the claim satisfied. The BCBS rep gave me the information and when I tried to tell them, I was told a 3rd party billing company handles their bills and I would need to call them. AS SOON AS I LEFT, THEY RAN MY CARD ON FILE AND TOOK EVERY BUT OF MONEY I HAD OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT!!!! Hundreds of dollars!! I am a foster mother that just adopted 2 young boys and I had no money left for gas, food or anything! When I called the practice the next day I was told “the billing department did it. We didn’t.” I called the billing department and they let me know that they don’t even keep payment info on file and the office ran the charge! The billing department agreed that the charge shouldn’t have been done and tried calling the office to let them know! Even BCBS called their office and told them I didn’t owe the money and they needed to receive the info needed and the claim could be processed processed. I spoke with someone in the practice named Megan, who told me repeatedly that even though she was a manager, it wasn’t in her job description to help me with billing. She was horribly rude and mean. Like she was taking joy out of it! I was then told by her that a collections agency took the money. Lie. Then I was told again the billing department did it. Lie. Then they told the billing department that I verbally authorized the charge! LIE! You sign a form when you first go there that says they can charge your card if a claim hasn’t processed in 30 days. There are other urgent care facilities! DO NOT GO HERE! I still haven’t gotten my money back and BCBS still hasn’t received the info they need! They are billing me $600 OVER the allowed amount on the claim, even as a participating...
Read moreTook my son there in June for sinus infection. I was told that they couldn’t submit my BCBS insurance because it was Sunday. So I was told I had to pay a $50 copay. Got into a room and lady came in and said I had to pay another $95 on top of the $50 for an office visit. NP came in said my son had allergies and gave him cough medicine. He has asthma and I had always been told by his regular dr no cough meds. I asked her about that. She said he was now old enough for cough meds. They asked which pharmacy to call it in to. I told them our normal one. I was also told I would have to file my insurance myself. We stop at a different pharmacy on the way home to pick up a few things. My phone rings from the pharmacy we were at telling me my prescription was ready. I had no intention of getting it filled to start with which is why I had it sent to our normal one. I call my insurance company on Monday. They said they would contact them to they would file my insurance. BCBS paid them in July. I ended up taking my son to his dr on Monday and he was given an antibiotic for his sinus infection. I was again told NOT to give my child cough medicine because of his asthma. My husband went by there on Sept 11th to ask about our $85 refund. Lady was supposed to call me. Two weeks ago I call the billing people and they sent something to the office to be approved so they can send me my refund. Also called office and spoke with lady that my husband spoke with. She was going to have someone call me. Today I called billing company and they are still waiting on approval. Called office back and waiting again for the same women to call me that was supposed to call two weeks ago which happens to be the person that approves the refunds. So I’m still out $85 4 months later and sad thing is I was only given a prescription for medicine that my son...
