Just rent at the park. I thought I was booking at the park but this is a third party. Their listing almost purposefully wants to to think ur booking with the park. I was calling the park kayaking desk about my reservation thinking it was where I booked. Misleading name easy to confuse for novice travelers to that park. I mean the woman said she didn’t speak with me so I spoke to the park i she says, probably I was having siri call the park which kinda had me irritated because I was ready to just turn around up to that moment. I wanted to find out if I should even proceed if I lose my rental if late. Plus I needed another single kayak. She said so long as I arrive before 1600 I was fine. Not Got in 1405 found out it’s a third party company not a single person from this company was on site. I asked where I go the young lady just pointed outside and said usually someone with a red shirt. I began wasting time walking around looking for someone in a red shirt. I already wasting time trying to find the place. I got in touch with the actual service at1500 using a number on the email since I was previously calling the real Silver Springs Kayaking rentals. No-refunds in some situations is nuts at least ask for non-refundable deposits but to keep the entire amount? Not many people signing up to do this are purposefully late or unable to arrive so this is just a greedy predatory practice to impose upon guests. She offered to rebook for $25 but we were hot can’t and I wasn’t wanting to lose my entire $82 on this or pay an additional $25 to rebook another day and then also rent 2 more on the spot from the actual park. This why we never use 3rd parties bc I here it is I thought this was the park just renting kayaks. Terrible experience we drove 2hrs had the car overheat ac compressor blew on our way. We wanted to see the monkeys so we will go back but we now know just wait till you get there. They have plenty of rentals and the park is much more accommodating. No need to risk your entire rental amount if you find yourself in a bind. $82 is nothing to sneeze for hard...
Read moreThis is a MUST do if you are visiting Florida! Our family of 4 comes down each year from Canada for the month of January and we like to try new adventures. We've "been there, done that" with all the amusement parks and we had it on our bucket list to do a guided clear kayak tour. This did not disappoint! We were a little leery the morning of our trip as the temp was 39 degrees fahrenheit. We bundled up in layers and with the sun out ended up in t-shirts by the end of the tour. The kayak somehow kept my feet warm and apparently you are more likely to see the manatees in the colder weather (as the water in the springs is 72 degrees), so don't let the colder weather deter you. Mornings seemed to be a lot less busy too so consider that when booking. Our trip was led by our amazing guide, Justin, who I learned shared a passion for snowboarding and hockey like I do! Justin was super personable and provided us with a tonne of facts about the springs and the wildlife. You can tell he really cares about the animals and the environment. On our tour we saw a wide variety of birds, alligators, turtles, manatees and monkeys!! Don't worry, the gators are pretty far away on the banks and apparently docile and used to the river traffic. Not once did I feel unsafe. This area is beautiful and I can guarantee we will be back on this tour again on our next trip. Thanks Justin for such an...

Justin made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, and he pointed out so many animals we might have missed on our own. His passion for nature really shined through and made the whole trip even more special.
