The location was perfect, but that is about all. Online it says it is called the Rodeway Inn, but apparently it is a Days Inn? Upon arrival, I walked in to check in and noticed four other parties waiting ahead of me. I got in line and waited. Doug and Chris were the two employees on site when we arrives, along with a new trainee. They were apparently in the middle of shift change and were counting the drawers. I watched Doug count the same drawer over 3 times and get different numbers. Then Chris counted and got something different. Why they were announcing it, I don't know and why it was counted in front of the public, I also don't know. Regardless, we had to wait over half an hour for that issue. Then Chris and the trainee left and Doug began checking in the parties ahead of me. He checked in one customer and moved on. The second customer he could not check in because he didn't have "access" to select a room size and he paged Chris. He moved on to me after having to wait on Chris, he could not check me in for the same issue, so I also had to wait. Meanwhile, my husband and baby have been sitting in the car for over an hour now. He walks in and demands a manager as to what the hold up was. I walked out to be with the baby. Later, my husband walked out and said they cancelled our room because he was rude. Excuse me? The room was in my name, first of all. Second of all, it is beyond rude to make paying customers in front of you wait over an hour to check in at midnight at that. I explained my perspective to Chris and told him he really needed to learn some customer service skills and left. We will not return nor will we use this place. We would have wanted to stay here anyways, judging by the cigarette smoking trainee with her boyfriend watching her every move and the dirty homeless customers walking around barefoot in the lobby. Luckily, I was able to get my refund and we found another room for the same cost and it was much nicer anyways. Go to the Relax Inn down the road if you are looking for a hotel in this area. Avoid this place...
Read moreIf I could give it zero stars I would. I booked 2 rooms through Expedia (who will not let me review through their app once I click the "terrible" rating) the entire premises is shabby and run down. The desk clerk, and only employee we ever saw, was rude. The first room was old with torn carpet and a filthy bathroom but decent compared to the second room. Upon opening the door I was assaulted by the foul odor of mold, as if the carpet had been soaked and dried in the heat. One bed was pulled away from the wall, giving a great view of the black mold covering the wall behind it. Some black gelatinous blob of crust had dried while sliding halfway down the wall behind the door. The drawers to the dresser were pulled open and skewed, half of them missing. One bed had dirty sheets with obvious black stains on it. The second bed had a large greasy stain on the top blanket. There were what looked like blood spatter on the ceiling over the shower. Obvious drug deals going down in the parking lot. Crusty coke baggies littered the ground by a disgusting, overflowing trashcan and the deep end of the pool was covered in mustard algae. There was one working table with an umbrella, everything else was broken. we told the clerk we had our 82 year old grandmother with us but insisted he could only put us on the second floor. After calling and complaining about the state of the second room he grudgingly had us escort him into it, glanced at it and said he would get us another room. Had I not already paid for the rooms and been so many hours from home, we would have never stayed in such a filthy, run down, atrocious smelling, drug riddled place. Being right across from the silver springs entrance I mistakingly assumed this would be a well used and up to par establishment....
Read moreIf I could give it zero stars I would. When I first entered the room it smelled bad. There were no curtains on the window, only a pull down shade which when lowered left a 2 inch opening on both sides. I went to turn on the TV and it wouldn't turn on. Looked behind the chest it was sitting on and it wasn't plugged in. Plugged it in and it came on but was looking for input. Tried every selection, HDMI1, HDMI2, etc. Nothing worked so I walked over to the office to talk to the manager. I couldn't call because there was no phone in the room. Was told the rooms in that building were waiting on boxes for the TVs. When I asked if there was a room that had a TV that worked he told me no. Went back to the room to take a shower and discovered there was no shower curtain so now I had a wet floor in the bathroom from the water splashing from the shower head. They put a 50 dollar deposit on my credit card that they said was to insure I didn't smoke in the non smoking room. Said it would be returned to my card in 5 to 10 business days. Read another review where someone said they didn't get theirs back so I'm waiting to see how that goes. I definitely would NOT recommend this...
