People DO NOT purchase a boat from here!!!! Shady, lying and low down do not begin to describe this institution. I purchased a 2012 regal 2500 from Sundance. The marina agreed to do a full mechanical inspection of the boat and supposably the boat had no issues. Well on the test drive the battery died. So after discussing with them i had a duel battery system installed. But they never changed the old battery. Then once the boat was delivered it over headed the first 20 min. I had a mechanic inspect and he stated that the pick up line had been broke for some time. (have evidence) so the lower unit had to be torn apart and when it was, there obvious signs that the unit had never been serviced at all. So I spent serval thousands of dollars repairing and servicing. Also when I purchased the boat there were some items that were to be repaired. ( IE Bimini top anchor and some snap buttons.) After the boat was delivered to me, some 4 hrs away, I noticed that they were not repaired. after calling and talking to several service managers, who all assured me that they would send the parts to me directly. Well its been officially 1 year since I purchased the boat and still not parts. There is a lot more to the story but I am to aggerated to continue. From start to finish the whole process was complete S___!!! Do not deal with these people!!!! good luck and...
Read moreI had a 2005 225 Evinrude. In 12 years, only had to replace the CPU once. Very few problems.Brought in for regular service. Next time I went out, engine broke down, I had to get towed in. Engine would not start. They charge me $300 to replace battery wires. Next time I go out, have to get towed in to Sundance. Every 10 minutes engine would shut down. I am back to Sundance. I say,it has to be the CPU. Not my job to figure out what is really wrong. They send it out for repair. 5 weeks later,it is put back in, and Sundance says, you need a new lower unit, and a new starter. Now,I am out $4000. Go to leave marina, engine hardley starts. Breaks down pulling into dock. Have a new mechanic from another reputable place look at the engine. First, wiring did not need to be replaced, second, CPU was installed improperly, water line leaked all over unit. Line over unit was cut and spliced. Lower unit is a POS made by STS that can never be repaired if it is broken or damaged. Hurricane hits and dock gets taken out and boat sits for 4 months cause engine does not work because Sundance should not be allowed to work on boat engines. Bottom line is, if you want to get ripped off on engine repairs, and never have your engine work right....
Read moreThe staff seemed very friendly, first time at the marina, but as a 30 + year boater I am somewhat used to being taken advantage of for the price of parts to support my passion but I will tell you what, I left there feeling violated more than any other time in my life. I get it, its an expensive hobby, I always thought West Marine and other marinas were expensive and charged full retail but Sundance takes the prize for screwing boaters, full retail plus, plus. Just one example on Mercury engine oil, I ordered 4 gallons, WM full retail is @34.99, Sundance was $54.99, $20 more per gallon and they pumped it from 55 gallon drums into 4 containers. I haven't compared the price of the $800 worth of part I picked up as I wanted to share this, ALL I CAN SAY IS BEWARE AND GET READY FOR THE BEATING OF YOUR LIFE. Order online, I tried to support my local business, doesn't always work out that they feel the same way. Like I said I get it and usually full retail is enough for most, just not Sundance. Staff is...
