We were finally back in the area and stopped here for an early dinner We had stopped in when they first opened to have a cocktail. We were so impressed with the drinks, the service, and the overall atmosphere. We were looking forward to coming back and trying some of the menu. We now have a new place to go to when we want to go out and have a more than 5 star meal. I still had a couple cocktails because they are so well made. And we sat at the bar and also enjoyed the live music that was starting up at the end of our meal. The food alone was worth the 1 hour drive, the friendly staff and atmosphere only add more wonderful to the experience. Started with a smoked fish dip and shrimp ceviche appetizers. Very generous servings and these are not high prices. I can definitely afford a regular date night here. I ordered the fig and pig flat bread. The taste combo was amazing. My daughter ordered a Buffalo chicken flat bread on a cauliflower crust. She does not eat gluten due to a gluten allergy. Chef Mike assured us his kitchen could handle diet restrictions and they did not disappoint. My husband ordered the blackened fish tacos, made with red snapper. He couldn't stop commenting on how moist and perfectly done the fish was. The freshness of every item, even the items in my cocktail, was easily noted. The attention and care that went into each and every thing was very appreciated and I cannot wait for...
Read moreJust noticed this place last week while we were in the area. Decided to try it out for dinner the other night. Kind of a mixed bag actually. The night we went, they had a live band. While the music was good, it was kind of loud due to it being such a small place. Another issue was the crowd. Although mostly an older crowd, it appeared to be mostly locals and they were very loud. Drunk women have that voice that goes right through you. Anyway, the staff is very nice and got us seated immediately. Unfortunately, most of the seating are backless stools so people with back problems might have a problem. Although they do not have an actual full blown website, they do have an online menu, which really looked interesting. Unfortunately, once we were seated we found that they lost their chef and therefore only have a “limited menu”. Very limited. So, basically, the place is a bar that serves what amounts to your typical bar menu. We had a flatbread. It was good but still a letdown from what we were looking forward to. The drinks were good and the service was fast. I think the place has potential but for me, the local barflies kind of wreck the vibe, and the limited menu will keep me from coming back. I think they should change their online menu to reflect what they...
Read moreWow! This place is awesome. I’m a newby and WILL be back! Had the best time celebrating with 45+ friends. We enjoyed epic music, delicious food and gulp worthy martinis (full bar they have allll the things!) The service from everyone was perfection. They even removed an overly drunk patron (Alex Honner, read his lovely review below) from the bar for being exceptionally drunk, and the only person in the room who couldn’t figure that out. If you disrespect the bartenders, try hitting on them when they are working, and overall not paying attention to who you’re speaking to or how… then you should respectfully be removed. The entire staff worked hard serving a completely packed house. The band was incredible. The martinis are creatively crafted, and so delicious. Braised short rib dinner was phenomenal. Top-notch establishment and that’s why it’s a packed house compared to the empty bar next-door. Bartenders can make or break a place. Theirs? The best in the biz! Watch them make 50 drinks on a matter of seconds effortlessly. From the Christmas decorations right down to how clean the bathroom remained the whole night you can see how much love and care goes into managing this place. Explains why it’s the busiest place...
