I’ve been a loyal customer of The Goose Pub for over 12 years, but what recently happened to me was both disappointing and deeply upsetting.

On April 24, 2025, I left the bar with two friends who were intoxicated. During the ride, they had a misplaced phone. Out of responsibility, I personally contacted the owner of the phone, explained who I was, and arranged for it to be left with the bartender at the next bar, The Office. The owner got their phone back with no issue.

The next day, I returned to The Goose and was told—without explanation—that I was banned. A bartender told me I was accused of stealing the phone. I asked them to review the security footage and speak to the owners. Every bartender refused to give me the owners’ contact, and I was treated with zero professionalism or respect. The only thing I was told was that I’d get a call from the owner. That call never came.

Eventually, I was told the ban had been lifted. But when I returned on May 1st, I was met again by hostility. The bartender on duty, Emma, refused to serve me. Despite being calm and respectful, she told me she “felt uncomfortable,” yelled at me, called me names, and had me removed by the police. I was issued a trespass notice just for being there—despite having been told I was welcome back.

What makes this even more painful is that I was the only Black customer present that night. I did nothing wrong, was not disruptive, and yet I was treated like a criminal for trying to enjoy the same space I’ve supported for over a decade.

This wasn’t just bad customer service—it felt like discrimination. I’ve filed a formal complaint with the state and hope no one else has to go through...

I was so disturbed by the reaction of the manager, I didn’t get her name, but she has short blonde hair, bob haircut. I didn’t know she was the manager until now. I asked her about a bar tab that she accused me of using, which was my friends bar tab. Because of her he won’t talk to me, we were friends for 10 years!!! Warning!!!!!!! Don’t ever leave your credit card to start a bar tab, there or anywhere, unless you want someone to run your bar tab$$$$$$$$$🙀 This isn’t the only time she has done this!!!! It’s a small town!!!!!! I will not go back there ever!!!!! I was treated with disrespect!!! This was so hurtful!!! I was there 2 weeks ago & I seen her in action!!! She is not a nice person with a bad attitude!!!!! The Goose Pub needs to get a new manager!!!! I lived in Jensen Beach for 25 years and Martin County since 1973. Living here In Jensen Beach, I never met so many messed up people, this is so sad to say😔 Definitely this is so hard to talk about😔 Just don’t go to “The Goose Pub”!!!! I heard there are fight breakouts!!! It’s a drinking establishment, plus smoking is allowed. Go figure!!!! There are so many better places to go in Jensen Beach😊 The few times I went there I was invited by friends to go there with them, not a classy place to go!!!!! I thought local bars, bartenders, were friendly, can’t expect much from heavy drinkers??????? There’s no CHEERS...

Me and my 2 friends arrived around 1245. They have over an hour to close yet when we approach the bar we're avoided for literally 10 mins as she made eye contact with us and then immediately looked away as to not be forced to help us. Continued to hit her vape and complain to the other bartender about other customers. Finally after she heard a customer ask me if we wanted a drink and I said that'd be great or even some type of acknowledgement. This is when she asked what we wanted as she rolled her eyes. All of us ordered premium vodka drinks. She was preparing to close, doing all her sidework, and avoiding every customer that approached the bar. After needing another drink for about 20 mins and we tried to wave her down she stuck her one finger up putting us on hold and rolling her eyes again. We then decided we were leaving. A bar in downtown known for a good time should want to serve their guests drinks. Crazy concept right?! Worst experience...
