Your probably better off walking past the claw machines. They only take tokens, which come from a machine that only takes cash. OK so far. The display on the machine gives some information, but it's not actually clear how much it costs to play. After dropping a token into one of the big machines, music starts playing but nothing happens. Talk to the lady at the desk, she tells me it's two tokens for the big machine. I attached a picture for reference. Instead of saying 2 credits to play, it says 2coin 1to. Not sure what the 99 or the A on the display line reads. The 1 was the credit I put in at first otherwise it will read 0. Still ok. I have two small kids so they both wanted a turn, both caught a toy, both lost the toy. Here's where the negative review comes in. Normally on claw machines there's a dial that regulates the amount of grip the claw itself exerts. Usually you lose because the claw didn't actually pick the item up, sometimes you lose it because the item slips out over time. First play, lined up perfectly, picked up the toy right in the middle. On a straight line back to the hole the toy just drops halfway. Second play, different machine, same outcome. Firm grab, toy goes up and just magically drops out of the claw. Today, I visited this place with my daughter. It's incredibly charming, and she had a great time. Considering she's a teenager, it was a relief to see her enjoy it, as teens can be picky about places they think are just for kids. Taking photos with the bear outside was a lot of fun. Inside, there are various food stalls that offer a food court-style experience within the mini mall. The mascot in the store was friendly and even assisted with bagging our items. However, I must mention that some of the plush toys, jewelry, and hair accessories were quite expensive. For instance, a $20 price tag on a hair bow, headband, or necklace that you could find for $2 at a beauty supply store seemed excessive. Similarly, plushies that usually cost $5 to $10 elsewhere were being sold for $30 to $50 here. I noticed someone had mentioned the loud music, but I realized it was only loud if you stood right under the speakers. Personally, I found the music enjoyable and even tried to Shazam a few songs I liked, although I didn't get any results. My only suggestion would be for them to consider providing more than one bag for your items instead of cramming everything into a single bag. Today was the first time I ever went here, and I rarely leave reviews but I HAD TO about this place. Personally, I loved everything about it. It was so beautiful inside, I love the products they carry and various snacks available. I love how it is connected to the food court and grocery supermarket right next to it, it was so clean and the staff were so polite! I absolutely can’t wait to go back and I feel so lucky to live only 37 minutes from it. I hope they bring in some more products, I would love to see different things and various products that still represent the culture of Japan and any other countries they choose to purchase from. The store is just so pretty, I cannot express that enough. And the employees were super nice 😊 Probably one of my favorite places to spend my time.
