Update!! We’ve tried so many things. If you look at the suspect low reviews they only have 1-2 reviews from local competitors😂. If you look at the pro ie honest reviewers you get the locals thoughts.
I also tried the beef noodle soup it’s delicious!! But be noted that the beef pieces do have the tendon chewy pieces in addition to delicious beef cuts. It’s not for everybody, but if you want authentic then it hits the spot.
They started having the sweet rice w red bean and goji and juju berries on top. I don’t know the name but it’s one of my new faves. You can eat it room temp but I ask them to heat/microwave it for me so it’s even softer. Cheers!
Old post: Love it here. If you went to a night market and expected good food at a great value then this is the closest. They have excellent dumpling ingredients ie I love the soup dumplings(31), bao zi?(33) and the pork and shrimp dumpling soups. I could eat here every day but our family frequents it whenever we are in Duluth.

Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Lao Wei Dao recently, and I must say that it was an absolute delight. Located in the Jusgo supermarket, this Chinese restaurant serves up some of the most authentic and delicious dishes I've ever tasted. The dim sum selection was expansive and full of flavor, with a variety of dumplings and other small plates to choose from. The noodle soups were also a standout, with rich, savory broth and perfectly cooked noodles. But the real highlight for me was the hand-made soup dumplings. These little dumplings were filled with a savory broth and perfectly cooked filling, and the wrapper was thin and delicate. I've had soup dumplings at many other restaurants, but these were some of the best I've ever had. In addition to the main dishes, Lao Wei Dao also has a great selection of traditional Chinese appetizers. Overall, I was extremely impressed with Lao Wei Dao and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some top-quality...
Read moreThis was my first time ordering here and I had high hopes since they had what I was craving for and also great reviews related to the food and service. I only ordered 1 pan fried pork bun and I was told by the server it’ll be ready around 20 to 25 minutes- cool no worries. It took 45 minutes to almost ONE HOUR for me to receive my singular order of pan fried dumplings. Mind you, families upon families ordered not too long after me and they received their food FIRST! I’m not sure what went wrong, but I felt that they were prioritizing only the DINE IN orders instead of balancing it with the carry out orders. I also felt that when I checked on the status of my food (after 30 minutes later) that’s when they FINALLY started on my order. The baos were great, but they are not THAT great to be waiting 45 minutes to...
