I recently had a nightmare experience with uBreakiFix when attempting to get my MacBook Pro repaired. I feel compelled to share my story to warn others about the subpar service I received.
My MacBook Pro's touch bar was malfunctioning, so I decided to bring it to uBreakiFix in Westchase, hoping for a quick and efficient fix. A gentleman by the name of Care Lionells (although I'm not entirely sure of his name) attended to me. I explained that I had purchased a new touch bar and wanted it installed.
Care Lionells assured me that the job would take one to two days, and I entrusted him with my laptop and the replacement parts. Instead of providing any official documentation, he simply handed me his personal phone number, which should have been my first red flag.
After a long four days, I finally received my laptop back, only to discover that it was in worse condition than before. The installed new touch bar not only didn't work but was also visibly cracked. Furthermore, the top row of keys on my keyboard had been burnt out, and the laptop's case was not properly locked in place. It was a mess.
When I approached uBreakiFix to rectify the situation under warranty, I was shocked to learn that there was no record of my repair order in their system. They essentially denied any responsibility for the shoddy work they had done on my laptop.
Finally I've contacted Apple to inspect my laptop. To my astonishment, they informed me that uBreakiFix is not an authorized service despite Care said. All cable protective covers were missing, and a significant number of screws were absent, several cable socket was not connected so the mother board was installed in a wrong way.
My experience with uBreakiFix was nothing short of a nightmare. They not only failed to fix my laptop but also caused significant damage to it. Unprofessional conduct, and apparent disregard for my laptop's well-being have left me deeply disappointed and frustrated.
To make matters worse, I had to pay $600 for Apple to repair the damage caused by uBreakiFix's negligence. I strongly advise anyone seeking repairs to avoid uBreakiFix at all costs, as their actions are not only unprofessional but also potentially damaging to your valuable devices, and their incompetence can cost you...
Read moreThis particular location has a scam going on. I had a mac pro 1200.00 laptop that my screen was cracked. The store manager by the name of Krystopher stated that he had to wait for the part to come in. Firstly, I had asked where the other tech was and he replied with a smirk and stated, he was fired because he and another employee was stealing customers laptops. It's a customer calling for his laptop now and I don't know what to tell him, because his laptop is gone. That was a red flag there, but I needed my laptop for school. Fast forward picked up my laptop and I had a cover protector for my laptop, but I picked it up and he informed me that everything was fine. Was working on some homework and I was sitting on the sofa with my daughter. My daughter immediately said, mom where is your laptop I said, what do you mean? She said, that is not your laptop it doesn't have the apple sign on the front. I immediately called the store, but they were already closed. I made an appointment for the apple store and took my laptop in to review the component, where they stated literally majority of my parts inside did not belong to my laptop. I lost it! I went back in to this store and he was there. He stated, he didn't know what I was talking about. I said, I went to Apple and they looked at my laptop and none of those parts belong to my laptop. I ended up calling the police and making a theft report. Contacted Asurion and I had a hard time getting a response. Called corporate same thing. They had informed me that it was being taken care of and that Krystopher was no longer there. I stopped by months later and he was still working at this store! My suggestions to you is to go somewhere else because you will never know that your computer parts are really not your computer. Apple had informed me that he shouldn't had to take my computer apart to replace the screen like that. I will never go to a place like this again if it is not Apple. Go to this place at your own RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m not sure how I can leave my information on a public page. My last name is Robinson, if you look in the system you will find me. My number starts with a 317 area code.
