Veterans Memorial Park — Attraction in Contiguous United States

I have been going here since I was a kid!! It was the first pool that I jumped off the diving board lol and I don’t know if they still do it but when I was young they had night swimming. They would turn all the lights in the pool on... it was soo much fun. To us it seemed really late but it was probably open until 9pm on those nights. There are lots of BBQ areas around it and volleyball nets up.. so many soccer fields. At the pool you can bring your own drinks and food which can save a lot of money. It’s definitely a place to take your kids and some friends and make it an all...

Lots of natural arwas. Lots of structured play areas - soccer, cricket, softball, tennis, volleyball - and the waterpark and childrens platground. Under advertised for the volume of area available. Lots of picnic tables and grills and shelters for birthdays etc. Huge pedestrian overpass across the railroad tracks.

My only issue is with the public that insists on littering even with the abundant trash cans. Very ignorant. But the whole park is very well maintained...

Nice park, but the porta potties were closed. I had no other place to take my small niece, we used them anyway and they were filthy. Why were both porta potties closed in the entire park and this is the only area to use. The building to access to the pool was also locked. The pool was also closed. Here it is the end of June and the main attraction the pool is closed!!. Nice area to relax with friends and maybe BBQ, but needs these two areas need to be opened up...
