Been going to Mytech for a few years now and it's a great shop overall. I used to take my Dodge Ram to them for oil changes and always had a great experience from start to finish. Wayne at the front desk always has a great attitude and even makes the experience great for my two sons by offering drinks, snacks or candy. He always makes time to get me in and out without much wait time. Christopher, one of the technicians, is very respectable and knowledgeable about his job. Love the fact he always took care of my truck as if it were his own. He also is very good with my sons by showing them the shop, tools and other cars in the shop, he even bought them both hats off the Matco tool truck one day as an awesome gesture! One time I took my truck in for an oil change and mentioned that I had some vibrations coming from the front suspension and a check engine light. Christopher pulled me out in the shop and showed me exactly what the issue was and explained in detail what the cause was (front axle damaged) and how this could be dangerous for me and my kids on the road. Made me feel relieved because I had taken the truck to the dealership and they told me the vehicle was fine. After pulling codes for the check engine light, it was also discovered that the engine was having issues that would require costly repairs or complete engine replacement. To my surprise he did not try to sell me any services or get me to spend thousands of dollars trying to fix the vehicle, instead he suggested that I look into getting rid of the truck, which ultimately I did. Once I did get rid of my truck I was in a position to where I had no vehicle and minimal funds do to being a single father and hard times. Christopher, Wayne and the owner Rob went out of their way to put me and my kids in a clean good running car they had at the shop for an awesome price and even let me make payments to make sure I had some wheels! Never had a shop even come close to this family feel and concern for me and my childrens well being! Not too many honest shops out here like this one, great people ,great prices and great services. I would recommend Mytech Automotive to anyone in the DMV area and its worth the trip because I happen to live in Fredericksburg myself! Looking forward to having Christopher do a complete engine and transmission replacement in my 1996 Impala SS because I trust his knowledge and know it's going to be done with love, done correctly, in a timely manner and for a competitive price! Cant thank these...
Read moreOur family has trusted MyTech's skills, ability, expertise, knowledge, and passion for well over 15 years. They have serviced a total of 5 vehicles for our entire family to include different makes, models, and years. When itâs time for my family to purchase a new vehicle, they are the FIRST people we call, because we value their opinion and trust their overall knowledge of cars. With every vehicle of ours that MyTech has serviced, they have been spot-on with the issue and finding a permanent solution. MyTehc has been by our side when it was time to have those difficult conversations about whether our past vehicle was worth the cost of maintenance or was it time to purchase a new vehicle. When we bring our cars in for service, they are transparent and communicate the matter on the front end. When itâs time for basic maintenance (i.e. oil change, tire rotation) that is what is completed. They are not in the business of trying to up-sale or find other things wrong. If there is a time that they do find other maintenance issues they communicate the risk, and whether the maintenance can wait, and they consider the cost. They go above and beyond each and every time. (Ex. About a month ago, we had taken our car in for basic service, and they brought to our attention that our truck had a recall). The truck was not being serviced that day, but the fact was that they care and have put in place a system that tracks this type of information for the safety of their customers. If that is not A-1 customer service, then I donât know what is. I could write a book, because that is how awesome MyTech really is⌠finding a trusted, knowledgeable, transparent auto-mechanic is one of the hardest things to do. And we have found just that in MyTech. So, anyone reading this review, this is your sign-take it! You will not be disappointed! Tell them the Waller Family sent you⌠and thank...
Read moreA shop with folks who are honest, friendly, and genuinely look after your best interests. There's a lot of highly rated mechanics in the area, and after getting burned over and over again for years at the dealer with a car I plan to keep that's only getting older, I knew I had to find an indy shop.. but the question was which one? I truly lucked out taking my Subaru to MyTech Auto first.
I've had them do work including: diagnose an oil leak, plug a few tires, mount and balance tires from a set of old wheels to new ones, and work on a TPMS sensor concern. All the work so far has been great, the prices are fair, and I've never been sold for service that wasn't needed. After getting my tires moved over to a new set of wheels, my TPMS sensor tripped later the same day and I scheduled to take my car back in for what we suspected was a bad sensor and was prepared to eat the cost of a new TPMS and the labor for install. They reset the PSI across all tires, checked and verified that all the sensors and batteries were actually all good, and let me on my way without even charging me for a diagnostic.
Wayne's easy to work with and a good guy with integrity. He'll walk you to your vehicle to point out and show you why something needs, or doesn't need, to be done. He's patient and scheduling appointments is a breeze. I've also had positive interactions with Chris and some of the other the auto techs in the shop. These guys actually care to provide good customer service and I highly recommend you check them out if you're looking for a...
