West Marine — Attraction in Riverview

The staff here are very friendly, act like they've known you for years. Good knowledge from the staff as well from fishing rigs to coolers and kayaks, this crew knows it all!

Update 6.5.2025: Just spoke with Andy about a product description discrepancy from another retailer and what is shown on WestMarine's website, and he was very candid and honest and able to assist me. Even put me on hold to confirm there wasn't any inventory in-store on the shelf, and compared to other models by the same manufacturer that they DID have in stock. Best customer support I've received in a long time....

West Marine's seem to be wherever there is water. They also have a reputation for being expensive. However, I like the Apollo beach West Marine a lot. The staff are friendly, helpful and work with you to solve problems. There's plenty of advise on offer and say what you like about the prices it's super convenient and the quality of items is very good. Sure you can hit Amazon and get same day delivery, but that doesn't come with helpful advise and the ability to go back as ask even more dumb questions. The occasional rewards coupon goes along...

Came to get a replacement T800 cartridge for my aeroator. Cartridge alone wasn't available but a 500 pump was. Guy at the counter guaranteed me it wouldn't work. And didn't want me to test the fit, would just need to open the box, not even get the pump dirty. Quick measure. I had my cartridge in hand. Since it's an aeroator there wouldn't be a problem putting in a 500 cartridge in a 800 base. Needless to say, found out 30$ cheaper on Amazon. Works great and got less flow...
