My oh my, do I have a review for you. The Vineyards was an unmatched restaurant experience. Before coming to The Vineyards, I was merely a nomad, a wanderer, a lost soul. Some may even say, a homeless woman. I had spent the previous four days traveling alone, searching for a new beginning. I had nothing to my name but a Toyota Camry, a suitcase full of clothes, my cell phone and laptop, a wallet full of credit cards, some gold jewelry, and my master’s degree. That’s it. Sunny seated me at the bar with immense grace and beauty. There is where Selwyn served me the clearest glass of water I’ve ever seen. I ordered the Trietto Ala Vodka, which was superb, and ate so many free garlic rolls, which were superb. I ate until I felt a fullness like that of long a ago - in my youth when won 2nd place in a hamburger eating contest. About to fall asleep from excess satiation, Sunny escorted me to the outdoor patio with a warm cup of gourmet Italian joe where I took a FaceTime call from some old friends. They tried convincing me to come home and to stop being ā€œdramatic.ā€ I told them I found my home. It’s at The Vineyards, where I am respected, where I am valued, and where the people are good looking. It got cold on the patio, so I went back inside where I was serenaded so delicately by the bartender. Then, Sunny (bless her heart), offered me a place to rent. What a magical evening! Expecting nothing more than a plate of pasta, I was given a new beginning.

I recently visited this establishment on a Saturday evening around 7:30 pm, I would recommend making a reservation in advance to avoid a long wait. Unfortunately, the service quality was subpar, with a clear understaffing issue and a lack of teamwork among the servers. Despite the manager's best efforts to assist, it was noticeable that the staff struggled to keep up with demand. The servers seemed preoccupied and failed to attend to our table for an extended period, leaving our stack of salad plates untouched. To make matters worse, it took 30 minutes for our food to arrive and 15 mins to get our water refilled. However, the food was a redeeming factor. The garlic rolls were good but not exceptional (4/5), while the house salad was a highlight, thanks to its excellent Italian dressing (5/5). The flounder Lemoncello was also enjoyable, although I found the abundance of sun-dried tomatoes overpowering (4/5). The Delizia De Mare, which my partner enjoyed despite having a shellfish allergy, was a hit (5/5). The Linguine Con Vongole was similarly impressive, with a generous serving of clams in a clean and well-prepared white wine sauce (5/5). While the food is certainly exceptional, the poor service and $6 sharing plate fee left me disappointed. Overall, I would give this establishment 3.5/5 stars. If they can improve their service standards, I would be happy to revisit and revise my rating upwards.

Will return We came for lunch. It’s empty and we chose the last booth. At first there was only one young lady serving, who’s very pleasant and efficient, and very pretty - hope this last adjective isn’t going to get me in trouble with anyone. Looking at the booth in front of us, we decided no appetizers. We’ve 3 main courses Chicken piccata Eggplant Parmesan Veal Parmesan The spaghetti is al dent and all are pretty delicious. .., and huge portion: the reason is bec they’re off the dinner menu when we thought we ordered off the lunch menu (so many menus …) Maybe the staff should confirm it at time of ordering, to avoid any confusion. We were going to pay but they re-ran the bill. I think they put dinner menu out during the lunch time, is just to give dinners more choice. We ended up with a few doggie bags - I took their bread too - they are warm and delicious, and probably will be threw away. Btw, I’ve been talking about spoons (dessert mostly) - their pasta spoon is HUGE, has to be the biggest I’ve seen in a restaurant so far. Oh well, what do I know 😜 Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and a happy Mother’s Day 2024 to moms.

My wife & I decided to order carryout from your restaurant 6/4/21. For us this was a big deal because it was my wife's birthday & 2nd it's a challenge for me to convince my wife to order local vs Corporate chain restaurants. I finally convinced her to order local to support local business, especially coming out of this Pandemic & we have an incomplete carry out order but you received Full payment. 1 of her favorite items from a Italian restaurant is the bread. While taking our order the carry out employees verified our order which included the bread. As we check our order(s) before driving off, there was no bread. I immediately called back & was told you were out. I would've appreciated knowing this prior to taking our order, paying in advance & providing a 20% tip or at minimum when bringing the food out to us. This left me livid because most people don't check their orders till they get home & it feels like the hope was we wouldn't notice not receiving what we paid for in advance. After getting home the mood was killed for her birthday because my wife wanted to order elsewhere & I chose your establishment, only to end up disappointing my wife on her birthday. Having worked 17yrs in food service & hospitality prior to transitioning careers a few years ago, these very issues I had 0 tolerance for, as a manager. If you run out of something you tell the customer prior to accepting payment. If you end up 86 an item then you inform the customer when they take their carryout vs hope they don't notice or end up frustrated enough to call Corporate or write a review. Despite my feelings now for your location, I will praise your kitchen staff & cooks for a well prepared meal, as they are the lifeline for any well serviced restaurant. Everything else was a HUGE disappointment & even worse, it'll be 10x harder for me to get my wife to co-sign on another local restaurant for a good long while & that's a shame! I didn't want to be that person having worked in the industry but that really ruined a...

My family and I are Italian. My father was born in Italy and my mother was born in America but she didn't speak english until she was five. My mother is no longer with us but her sister who raised my sister and I is now living with my father and myself. That's it. That is my family in Florida, except for my adopted Uncle Jim. All of us know good food. Our problem is that good good, especially Italian food is not easy to find where we live which is in the Sun City, Ruskin, Riverview and Apollo Beach area. So when we find a place to eat, we tend to stick with it. The Vinyards Trattoria and Restaurant has quickly become our go to Italian place to date. There are things that I would change but it has nothing to do with the food. I've met the owner in the past and he was very hospitable. This last visit, we had the executive chef came to our table to speak with us. This was made possible thanks to the owner's excellent choice of general manager. He spoke a little with my father which made me so happy because my father is 90 and only people who have been in the restaurant business know how hard the business really is. The food was delicious, the portions are more than generous and the atmosphere is casual. The restaurant is clean and on the night we were there it was packed. Parking is free and plentiful and it is my opinion that you would enjoy your night here. I have a horrible memory but our waitress was super polite and she really went above and beyond to make our party of five enjoy our evening. Prices are slightly above average but, I think that it is worth it. For reservations, contact the information that you can find on...

I had the worst restaurant experience of my life on Feb 1st at vineyards from 430 to 630. It was for my mother's birthday. We had a large table of people. There were 3 people handling our table, 2 men and 1 woman. The problem was the waitress.

Starts with the menu. Their menu tries to be very Italian so it's massive, hard to read and redundant. I had a 1yr old in my lap which didn't help either. The waitress approaches me, I ask what's her favorite and she says "everything, the menu isn't that big".. I pick something. She then says to the waiter in a nasty tone. "Well I guess they just decided to order entrees all of a sudden".. in a nasty tone. Okay thanks for the help.

Salad family style came around, salad bowls were almost empty and we were running out of room so I was consolidating and stacking bowls, she asked for the salad bowls and I said we may want some later and she goes "no you won't. Just hand them over".

She comes to pick up plates. My cousin hands her the plate and waitress goes "finally someone with some manners".

Another cousin asks for a coke. She goes "finish the one you have. I'll bring one".

The food came out cold. Which maybe with a big party is okay.

My mom had a birthday cake in their fridge. They brought it out lit! I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS IN MY LIFE. My mom's sister, husband and grandchildren were not at the table. Why would you think it's okay to bring a cake out lit Vineyards?? That is not your job.

This restaurant continues to be some of our worst experiences. Please go to cafe Italia or even olive garden and get some real food and quality service. We are never going back, no...
