Faulkner County Library — Attraction in Conway

Very loud to be considered a library. Went there today to type a paper and never got to. Apparently the library is an after school hangout where middle schoolers go to eat and play video games. Unsupervised and very disrespectful when I asked them to be a little quieter. Went to front desk to make a complaint, so they could ask the young ones to be quite and not eat around the computers, but it was to no avail, so I asked to be assigned to another computer only to be sat by more kids only this one was on a video chat while playing a video game. Not being able to focus and concentrate in order to complete my work was very disheartening. I had to leave. I wish the staff would enforce a no noice policy or create a space for kids to play games so the adults can get their work...

My kids love it because of Ms. Mary, she is a wonderful children’s librarian and her story times are always great. Feels like new children’s books are added all the time. The youth and adult book sections are plenty varied and I can usually find a good book easily. Lots of movies to borrow, audio books, and computers to use.
