Contrary to popular opinion I am going to have to say our visit to Eat My Catfish was not what I would call the best catfish in the state. It is possible we went on the wrong day? That being said we ordered fried green tomatoes and what we got was what tasted like pickle relish deep fried (I am not a fan of pickle relish) so right out the gate we were really disappointed. If it was truly tomatoes, why was it in chunks? The fish didn't have much flavor, and the chicken tasted like the fish because of being fried in the same oil. The shrimp was okay, the batter on all of the fish, chicken and shrimp was lacking and was too thick. The coleslaw was ok, but nothing special, French fries were okay, but could have been cooked a little longer. We used the restroom before leaving and it was a super-hot sauna in there and there were paper towels all over the floor. As we were leaving, we saw that someone (who had already gone from the restaurant) had crawfish and the table was still covered with the remains and smelled like it had been there for a while. On the plus side, they serve Coke products and the people at the front counter and person bringing us our food was nice. Also, the Willie Dust was good. I am sorry I can't recommend this place. We shared a meal and each had a drink and our lunch was $29.00.

We eat at this location at least once or twice a month. They do a good job of frying the catfish and I like their broiled shrimp. The last few times that we have visited this location we’ve had food left off of our order and had to come back. This time, we had burned hush puppies and the Cajun rice was hard, burnt, and disgusting. If you look at the picture it’s hard crunchy and as you can see, it just doesn’t look good. And I hate to say it but I’m going to have to start looking for another place to go eat catfish. In the past I would’ve recommended this place to my family to go after church or on a Saturday night. However, that will change.

First time going here and it was absolutely delicious. I had the three piece fried catfish dinner with coleslaw, fries and okra. The tarter sauce didn't look like tarter sauce but it was on point delicious. Sweet tea also. The young lady that is a cashier, hostess cleans up your mess when you leave so be kind and leave her a tip. She's very polite and well mannered young lady. Thank you so much and next time I'm in Conway I will be back. Keep up the amazing work. I drive from Ozark to go to doctors appointments here and make sure to have lunch here afterwards. Love this Catfish. 😍

I have to say, I'm a little aggravated, and amused at the same time. This was my first visit, and I read the reviews other people had posted about small portions and small fillets, but I really didn't pay them much attention. I've eaten a lot of catfish in my years. Some are bigger or smaller than others. Either way you come out full in the end. But this was just down right ridiculous. I had the fish and chicken combo. When the food came out, I almost asked the waitress if it was Catfish, or Goldfish fillets. The chicken was the same way, slightly larger than the diameter of a pencil. I don't even think you can buy fillets that small anywhere, commercially or otherwise. What it appears to me is going on here, is the fillets are being sliced into halves or thirds. I think more likely thirds. And frankly, that is just dishonest. If you're selling a basket of 2 or 3 fillets, then that's what should be provided, not a piece of a fillet. For that reason alone, I will never go back. And don't tell me the same thing about you weighing them in the kitchen, you know well that is wrong!! The really sad part to all this, is your food is absolutely delicious!!! It's hot, it's fresh, and the flavor is out of this world. It's such a shame how some business take a really good thing, like your food, and ruin the whole experience by their own greed. I really wish I had taken a picture, because people just like me who read these reviews, need to see just how small and greedy those fillets really are. Makes the whole experience not worth the money. I understand business, but if you can't sell fish honestly and remain profitable, then don't sell fish. That's the aggravating part of it all is, WOW!!, it was so delicious. But unless this business convinces me they have changed this practice and their principles, I will...

Our food experience was less than expected but the service was great. The young lady at the register was overly polite and attentive. She did a great job listening and making eye contact. Felix was our table server. He too was very polite and met our expectations to ensure we had what we needed. He also asked for us to provide a review of his service e on Google. Admittedly, this is the first Google review I have ever provided. With that, I want to clarify the overall rating does not reflect the service we received, as it was great! However, the fish was over cooked and the quality of the fish was lacking. There was a lot of belly fat and maybe two bites of fish meat per piece of fish. Not at all what we expected for a fish house. We had hoped for more. My husband ate here about 5 years ago and reported the same experience but I convinced him to give it another shot and the experience was the same as before (for him.). To be clear, we are providing this feedback in the spirit of providing the feedback so that the owner can fairly have an opportunity to make necessary improvements. If we don’t provide the feedback, there is no chance of improvement and the chance of it hurting the business more over time. We would hate for that to be the case. It’s clear by the story of the owner that he has passion for what he is doing and wants the customer to have a positive experience. They seem to train the front of the house employees well and stress the importance of customer service however the way the fish was cooked leaves us to wonder where the disconnect might be occurring. We would love to have reported better news here but hope that the information shared can assist in making improvements in both the quality of the fish and how...

I know this chain has multiple locations, but I'm not sure where they are. We only have experience with the one in Conway on Skyline/Harkrider. We have had issues on just about every visit. Either we are not served what we order or more importantly, the food is old and not fresh at all. Why do we continue to eat at a restaurant with this type history? Because when it's done right and made fresh, it's out of this world delicious! But due to the issues, mainly the old food being served, I have had to twist my family's arms to go back. Maybe it will be better this time, maybe they just had a bad day last time. We visited again tonight. We pleaded with the lady taking our order to please give us fresh food. We explained the problems we've had in the past. We ordered the spicy gulf shrimp appetizer. Regular was brought instead. It's just not the same. Then when our food came, I realized the lady that took my order listened to our pleas and apparently passed it on to the cooks. The chicken my family member had was ok, but the fish and fries was old food that had been refried. The fries were over cooked, hard, and full of cooking oil. The fish was brittle, full of oil, and the meat inside was browned from being double fried. Please do not reach out to us and ask that we visit another location to try again, I have no leverage with my family on this issue any more. We have respectfully "Given Up" and will not...
