
update* Brent did reach out to me and apologized for the horrible customer service experience. I am still weighing my options, in reference to what gym membership i want. However, I was impressed by the ownership Brent exhibited throughout our interaction. If i have any issues or concerns, i can reach out to him at anytime. I going to change my rat kng to 3.5 stars. Horrible customer service and questionable practices........... I wanted to get a tour and some cost information at the Salem Road location. The signage on the front of the Salem Road location is extremely poor. If your not a member, you must call the 800 number and schedule a tour. I did not know that this location isn't staffed. I asked if someone could give me a tour and I was told 10 fitness doesn't give tours of that location. Now that seemed strange to me. Amy told me that she would contact her manager and get back to me. She hasn't contacted me since ( which has been over a week). Corporate support person was extremely rude and no help. I left Brent as message and he hasn't return my call. I wouldn't do business with 10 fitness to save my life. What is this $43 fee for? Asked about any additional fees and Amy wasn't really sure. What happened to good customer service and being transparent? Apparently 10 fitness on Salem Road has something to hide. I'll find another...
   Read morecame to this location twice now, first time i had the basic membership and was new to things so i didnât know it didnât include the free weight squats racks, and i will admit thats a user error on my part, came back the second time but upgraded my membership to premium this time around to access those rooms, scanned in at the front just for it to say im still a basic member (membership department said it will be approved and good to go on Monday being today) surprise i still cannot scan in to the free weight room, receiving a text message âHi, 10 Fitness here! I see that you are having trouble accessing which requires a Premium membership or better. Would you like assistance to upgrade your membership?â no actually i would like access to what i pay for, but still not to worried about it ill just go up to the front and have an employee help me out, waited 10-15 minutes for an employee to come assist (he had been there prior talking to some girls but never came back when i was up there) ended up leaving hoping the salem location does...
   Read moreThe fitness center itself is clean and well maintained, but my issue is with the employees and policy. I joined last month, and I thought I made it clear that I wanted the lower basic membership. There are 3 payment tiers, and I was signed up to the highest tier. I have no need for that. Once I explained the situation, I was told I have to pay a downgrade fee. I was like, why do I have to pay extra for something that shouldn't have happened in the first place?
This facility finds ways to nickel and dime members. There's even an 8$ fee for holding open the front door for someone. Also the company is persistent in requesting bank account info to set up autopay, when I have a debit card that works just as well, and there's certain criteria one must do to cancel monthly memberships. Either unethical or incompetent. That 10$ a month to join banner in front of the building is a foot in the door tactic. My review...
