I've attended different levels of yoga and also Reiki classes at PP and with different instructors (Frannie and Michelle, who both are loving, attentive and awesome!). All staff and students on all of my visits were full of polite positive energy and kindness. I like how there's no pressure to be a master yogi and people of all levels are invited to release any pose that doesn't feel maintainable. That's important for novices and I wasn't the only person there who isn't a yoga expert yet.
When I first walked in I smelled HOME and knew I was in the right place. Looking around everything is clean and neat with a good vibe in the air, so definitely a perfect place to relax your mind and stretch your body to healing music playing just loud enough to hear and enjoy it, but soft enough to not be a bother to your meditation.
Classes are reasonably priced and there are various classes to accommodate most people's schedules so while I live an hour away, I'm quite sure I'll be back again and again as I learn to become a yogi myself.
Before finding this place, I'd never attended yoga in the same place twice. I've now found my central Florida yoga home and Peaceful Peacock has my full...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about this place, seriously.
I love the inclusive environment. I especially appreciate the language the teachers use and the effort to make things adaptable and meet people where they are. The instructors are always offering modifications for poses and encouraging people to give themselves permission to stay in a pose longer if it feels good or leave a pose early if your body has had enough.
There isn’t the pressure I have felt at some yoga studios to be a certain way or do something even if it’s painful. Instead, the instructors here give the message that it’s important to listen to your body, which can vary on any given day. They tell you it’s YOUR practice, which I think is super important and empowering.
I have been going twice a week for almost two months now and I have no longer been having sciatica pain, which is amazing — I think Leah’s poses for movements of the spine in the Basics class have especially helped with this. I also feel calmer, especially after Michelle’s Restorative class (it’s better than therapy).
I’ve never been to another studio like this and am so glad I found the...
Read moreI've visited yoga studios all over the world and Peaceful Peacock is on of the BEST! I was warmly greeted by the instructor Brooke. She gave me a tour of the studio, showed me where everything was and asked if I had any questions. The class she taught was as describe on their website (you'd be amazed how often this isn't the case) and her instructions were easy to follow. She offered options for each posture without making you feel that you were doing something wrong or not trying hard enough! After class she checked back in with me to see how I felt. The studio itself is clean, vibrant space. I immediately felt safe and secure. The vibe is open, friendly and the small retail space was Ah-maz-ing! I will definitely be back when I visit again. And if I lived in Orlando, I would totally sign up for their very affordable membership! If ever a yoga studio deserved more than 5 stars, it's the...
