After seeing Tamale Co Mexican Street Food on Facebook, we decided to place an order for take out tonight. We ordered their Family pack which consists of 8chicken tamales, 4with red sauce and 4 with green sauce, Mexican rice, refried black beans, Elotes (Mexican street corn on the cob) and a half gallon of Horchata. All of this serves 4-6 people easily for $39.99. Since we are in the middle of COVID-19 stay at home, we ordered ahead and they delivered to the trunk of our car. We interacted with two of their staff and both were very nice and friendly. Before I share thoughts on the food, let me just say that I am from Texas and grew up eating Mexican food as a staple and I do not ever add salt to anything. The tamales were thick and the chicken is tasty. The masa which is the outer soft shell of the tamale was quite salty. We would definitely prefer much less salt. In my experience, the masa usually has a very light flavor relying on the filling to provide much of the flavor. Both the red and green sauces were tasty and perfect. The Mexican rice had a light flavoring to it and the refried black beans were quite tasty. The Elotes has a nice and firm consistency and the flavor was very nice, not too rich and pretty perfect. I love that the corn was more firm than soft and mushy. We also ordered individual sides of chips and queso. The queso is white and tasty. It is a little spicy although the spiciness subsided fairly quickly. It thickens as it cools and is just right. The Horchata is a rice milk with a nice vanilla and cinnamon flavor and I think would make an awesome ice cream. We will definitely return to Tamale Co to try some of the other menu items.

Let's talk delicious food... tamales in particular. Located on Curry Ford at the corner of Bumby, Tamale Co. Mexican Street Food really delivers! The menu includes All Day Breakfast, a selection of tacos, and, MY favorite, tamales. Tacos and tamales are served two with m3xican rice and refried black beans. When we stepped up to order and were greeted by Jennifer, the owner. She has a wonderful personality and makes those she interacted with feel extremely welcome; she made it perfectly clear how grateful she was to have us in her establishment. We ordered elote along with chips and salsa to start. As entrees we ordered chorizo tamales and mole tamales. Our beverages were a pineapple and a hibiscus margarita. The margaritas were well dressed and the flavors were rich. The hibiscus margarita had a thick chili/lime coating on the rim that paired very well with the beverage. The elote was exceptional and also had a hint of the same chili and lime. I am a huge fan of tortilla chips and salsa and this appetizer did not disappoint. The fresh tomato-y flavor was delicious! On to the main event.... TAMALES! I did not try the chorizo tamales, as I was intensely focused on my own mole tamales. Filled with chicken and topped with a hearty mole sauce, one tamale was more than enough, so you can imagine I had some to take home with me. If you are a fan of Mexican Street Food, and are looking for a great place to grab some, allow to recommend Tamale Co. Make sure to go visit Jennifer and let her take your "Tamale Virginity" as she did to me (I've had them before but never this good).

Tamale Co. Mexican Street Food is an absolute standout in Orlando! We celebrated my brother's birthday here, and it was a day to remember. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond, providing warm, attentive service that made us feel truly special. They even surprised my brother with a delightful treat for dessert, featuring the cutest mini churro display—a perfect sweet ending to a perfect luncheon. The ambiance of Tamale Co. is truly unique, with cool colors and décor that beautifully capture the essence of Mexican culture. The atmosphere is both inviting and vibrant, making it an ideal spot for any occasion. And not to mention the food. Every dish we tried was nothing short of extraordinary! Tamale Co. offers a creative twist on traditional Mexican street food, with each plate delivering a burst of flavor and uniqueness. It’s clear that a lot of thought and passion goes into every bite. If you're in Orlando and looking for a complete culinary experience, Tamale Co. Mexican Street Food is a must-visit. The combination of outstanding service, vibrant ambiance, and deliciously innovative food makes this restaurant a true culinary treasure. We will certainly be back!
