We were a group of six friends who chose this location on a suggestion of two within our dining party. For the rest of us, it was a first-ever visit, and the reaction of all was, "Oh, this will definitely be a place I return to, and soon!" It impressed in ALL the right ways. The pub opens at noon on Sundays, and we were the first guests to enter after Dan opened the door and welcomed us. The dining room theming is excellent, and fun. Everything is organized and clean, with room to move about freely. It was not at all crowded during the time we were dining, which was perfect, since it gave us time to socialize without worrying about others waiting to be seated. Dan was our server, and he offered excellent advice about any menu questions we had. Nice Irish beer selections. Everyone in our group ordered something different, which gave us a great opportunity to compare notes on all the things we enjoyed about our selections. Dan was serving as the main bartender (dining is also available to be done directly at the bar) yet he was SO attentive to our needs, and made sure we were never in need of anything. The ultimate multi-tasker indeed. I'm normally not a big fan of chutney, and anticipated not having too much of it when it was one of our selected appetizers. Wrong - It was fantastic! Extremely good. The sandwiches, as well as the pasty entrees, offer sizable portions that are certain to fill you. I had the Berliner, and enjoyed every bite. Those who ordered the Irish Stew were raving about it as well. There are two delicious dessert options (carrot cake w/ a special glaze, and also a bread pudding that made everyone smile). Basically this was a simply prefect visit to a location that exceeded the expectations of all. Server Dan certainly added to that experience, and we send big applause to those in the kitchen we didn't meet. Great...
Read moreTruly a hidden gem! I came here the day before St. Patrick's Day and was expecting the longest wait times but I was able to find a table in the back almost immediately. I am not sure how it works all the time but when I went, you had to seat yourself and then the bartender would make their way over to you to take your order. We had to wait a little while for service as there was only one bartender and one person handling the tables. I didn't mind the wait because at least we immediately were able to sit down. I started off with the Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale. I am not the biggest beer drinker but this went down very smooth. Despite its name, it doesn't have any "cream" in it but is a red ale that has been nitrogenated to give it a more creamy texture. I definitely recommend trying this one. It is important to note that this establishment does not have a liquor license and only serves beer and wine so don't come in expecting Irish Car Bombs and Picklebacks. Next, I had the potato leek soup, which did not disappoint. My sister devoured hers and then some of mine while I wasn't looking. For the main course I had the steak and mushroom pie. For starters, this was the best Irish pie I've ever had. The crust was flaky and golden brown with tons of flavor in each bite. The filling had tender and juicy steak with the most savory gravy inside. I will say the steak "bites" are quite large so you may need to cut them down a bit but it's worth it. My sister had the vegetarian pasty which I had a bite of and my goodness it was delicious. It is quite rare to find delicious vegetarian options in an Irish Pub but this place truly has outdone itself. Unfortunately, we did not have enough room for desert but next time I'll wear my stretchy pants to give it a try! Additionally, the service was attentive given how busy it was. I will definitely be...
Read morePatrick Patrick Patrick! You deserve 10 stars my friend. I felt like a celebrity in this place. My server Patrick was kind, charming, patient, knowledgeable and is the epitome of epic customer service. I have lived on Conway for four years now and I've passed by this place a thousand times but for some reason tonight I decided was going to be the first time I ever walked in here and man I am so glad that I did :-) the minute I arrived Patrick came over to my table with a huge smile and a very friendly and inviting demeanor. Not only was this my first time at this restaurant but truthfully this is my first time ever having Irish food and this place gives you a universal experience. Everything from the music to the service and absolutely the food... My server was the highlight of it all...He explained everything in detail on the menu and didn't mind me asking him tons of different questions. He was very willing to help and he didn't seem bothered or annoyed which is really important because sometimes servers content to make you feel like you're inconveniencing them.. Patrick was extremely tentative. He gave amazing suggestions and I feel like we sampled a little bit of everything. Here's what I had :-)
-appetizer- 1.sausage rolls 2.chips & chutney
-Entree- Cottage pie 2.Dubliner
-beer- Grapefruit Hefeweizen
-desert- Bread pudding
Everything was absolutely amazing! It's nice to see a bar scene that has an actual Chef on site and not just a line cook. You could really tell that the chef puts 110% into his food. This was a fantastic experience and I will...
