Tonight’s show of Colin Jost was just ok. The show was difficult to get in the building, excessively long and slow lines. Purses of a certain size were not allowed, understandably, but it would have been reasonable for the leaders of the venue to have shared the information before people were trying to enter. The show I paid for was billed for 8-10 pm. Did not start until 8:30 pm and I was in my truck to come home by 9:35 pm. The first comedian used topics like rape as humor, on a college campus, it simply was not. If you have been sexually assaulted, it would not be humorous to say the least. Jost could not have been on stage as the main act more than 25-30 minutes, we all paid for 2 hours. No warmup acts were mentioned. This isn’t the first time this venue has short changed the performances, but it’s the last for me. Ordering from the box office is almost impossible, language barriers with some of the stud ent staff, not trained well to accept payment over the phone, the manager is almost always going to be gone when I call, it’s time for me to find another way to enjoy entertainment in Conway or just stay home.
There were no drinks for sale and no merchandise was being sold. I think I...
Read moreLoved watching Gabriel Iglesias last night however the staff at Reynolds Theater left a lot to be desired. I walked in and immediately was bombarded with security demanding I take my purse back out to my car. It wasn't even a big purse and nowhere on my ticket did it say that purses were even allowed. But I complied and walked all the way out to my car. I grabbed my wallet cause I was pretty uncomfortable with leaving my cards in the car. I was stopped again by security where an older gentleman pulled a Barney Fife and went through every-square-inch of my wallet. He left no nook and cranny alone which was super uncomfortable and ridiculous to watch. Meanwhile every male that walked in wasn't searched, there was no metal detector wands, nothing! So I'm guessing they weren't concerned with weapons. I don't know what they were trying to find in my wallet but they finally let me go through. I've been to other performances here previously and that has never happened! I'm sorry to say if there is another performance in...
Read more100% not gonna empty my pockets and spread my arms and legs to be violated by security staff who will ignore you to your face while asking basic questions, just to watch a comedy show. Inmates get booked into jail more respectfully than they were treating the attendees. There is another review from 10 months ago who went through something similar so this has apparently been going on for a while. It's a shame because this place was great in the past. I walked away with the ticket in my pocket and will not go back. Many others also seemed to be walking away. The intense entry screening was not mentioned at all beforehand, so I assume the business plan is to spring this on people once the tickets are already bought and they've already...
