They lack good communication skills. They should learn to communicate with the people they work with or there should be a note of some sort written down with customer's issue with textbooks.
Story time: I received a scholarship for my textbooks, but a cashier made a wrong order on one of the textbook. I was to get a new textbook (I would call it Aaaa) but they ordered something else (I would call it Bbbb). Since it was their fault, i talked to the manager and I was told that i would get the new book I ordered (Aaaa) for the same price I was charged for Bbbb. When I went to get my textbook, another cashier said that what they ordered was a used textbook Aaaa and that was what they had on their account. (Note that I am supposed to get a new textbook Aaaa). I tried explaining to her and she kept on saying in order to get the new textbook Aaaa, I have to pay for it. I was like that does not make sense because I got the scholarship in order to get the correct textbooks and it was the mistake of one of your colleagues. And I also told her that the manager said I am to get a new textbook. She kept on saying the same thing even when I explained to her. At a point, i felt like she was being a racist cause she had the "i dont care about you" face and attitude. The point of getting the scholarship is so that I don't have to pay a dime. So, because it was their fault, I cannot get the correct textbook with my scholarship? Long story short, I never even got my textbook and my scholarship felt like a waste. I had to talk to the people that gave me the scholarship and as of right now, everything is getting sorted out smoothly. Unlike the UCA bookstore, the person in charge of the scholarship is doing a better job and it isn't even the scholarship's job to clear misunderstandings about textbooks. I have not gone to the bookstore yet. I will go on Monday because I am writing this review on a Sunday. I hope everything will get sorted out cause I need that textbook even for next semester. UCA bookstore needs improvement on their communication skills.
At least write a note on what the manager said or something. I wish I could rate this a zero for poor service. By the way, I spent 2 weeks (almost 3) trying to figure out what to do about the UCA bookstore not giving me the textbook...
Read moreI purchased my books Aug 23rd and I am very displeased with my service. I’ve been waiting 2 weeks for a book to be shipped to my address I called them after 1 week after not receiving the book and they said it would get to me the following Tuesday. I have yet to see the book. Also I went in the book store with my full course schedule, I only have 2 of the 5 books I need. The extra books that they made me pay for I do not need for my classes. I will be calling Monday morning to get everything situated. This is putting me back on my school work and reading assignments. I am reading wrong material for the...
Read moreThe bookstore has plenty of items and I love going there but it's too expensive. If you have a choice, just get textbooks from there and get the other stuff from other stores. For example, a UCA T-shirt or a travel mug could be $20 or more at the bookstore or you could go to Wal-Mart and get the same thing for half that price. That's also the case for school supplies and electronics. Also, the sizes go up to 2XL, nothing more, so keep that in mind if you shop for UCA clothes there (Again, which I wouldn't suggest because of...
