As You Like It Events & Catering — Attraction in Corona

Our wedding may have been a month ago, but we are still raving and reminiscing about how amazing it turned out, especially thanks to AYLI Events & Catering! We had our wedding at the California Botanic Garden in September, and we couldn't ask for a better wedding venue coordinator and catering team! Thank you, Shelly, Phyllis, and team!

From the pre-planning questions to garden tours, to communication up until the big day, they were ready and available for our every need. Shelly was friendly, proactive, and gave us insight when we were unsure. She was also transparent when anything was an additional cost and whether it aligned with our vision & budget.

We hosted our ceremony and reception at the California Courtyard (one of the many beautiful locations at CalBG), and our cocktail hour at the Sage Gallery. For days and weeks after, our guests said it was one of the most beautiful and personalized weddings they had ever attended. They were in awe of the view of the mountains (Mt. Baldy) behind us and we also lucked out with great perfect weather (not too hot/temperate for September!). An important element for us was the food & entertainment. AYLI catering knocked it out of the park, the food was fantastic!!! Friends kept raving about the miso citrus salmon, harvest salad dressing, cheesy artichoke bites, and the crowd favorite was the Thai Chicken Skewer! They also loved the mini cheesecakes and tarts! Family commented on how the bartenders were so professional, fast, and knew how to make every drink asked of them. Since my husband and I missed cocktail hour to take romantic photos, they also made sure to have someone bring appetizers and drinks over to us, so we ate! Top-notch service!!! We found As You Like It through a Google search last year when we were planning our wedding and unsure if we wanted to use a catering company. We contacted Rachel and the gang to inquire and going with AYLI was one of the best wedding decisions we ever made. Let's start with the food-- it is DELICIOUS!! They have a wide variety to choose from and truly everything we tried was absolutely perfect. Phyllis and Rachel made it so hard to choose which dishes we wanted to serve because everything was so good. I am Filipina and Rachel was kind enough to serve lumpia and ube ice cream for us-- and boy it was a hit!! Rachel and her entire staff were always so respectful and professional, and answered any questions we had honestly and in a timely manner. Rachel even gave me some sound advice the week of the wedding, as she saw that the Bride was feeling some wedding stress. LOL. They all rolled with the punches and were so understanding when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID. The owner of our venue was not only impressed with the food and how kind everyone was, but also by how carefully they treated her home and kitchen and how they handled any COVID restrictions. We felt absolutely safe having them inside the house and appreciate that they wore masks and gloves the entire night. They fit in effortlessly in a wedding that had a lot of moving parts. I cannot speak enough praises for AYLI. We don't often throw parties, but look forward to the next one we throw so we can use them again and again. They have made lifelong fans out of us!! Had our wedding through As You Like It at the California Botanic Garden in Claremont.

Our venue coordinator, Shelly, was amazing every step of the way. She was so helpful with her suggestions and ideas for our preparation. Her service made it very easy to add and update our plans for our big day to give everyone attending a wonderful night to remember.

Shelly invited us to a faux wedding event to get some ideas for our wedding and help us decide on some vendors. We really appreciated this invite for AYLI and their partner vendors to really show off. It was amazing and helped us find our florist and made us feel like we were in good hands months before our wedding day.

We chose their Classic Wedding package and included some customized add-ons and substitutions. Shelly and the team were helpful adding on additional dishes for our vegetarian friends.

Another AYLI partner, Niquey, assisted us with adding a boba station for our wedding day. Many of our friends and family said it was super unique and cute. They appreciated caffeine. This really showed AYLI's dedication to helping your special day stand out.

Overall, my partner and I had the perfect wedding and experience. Most of that is due to the diligence and work that came from our As You Like It coordinators.
