La Casa Del Pueblo Market — Attraction in Corona

I was having a hard time finding pork belly. After calling two other stores and them saying yes , just to find out they only had pork skin, I decided to call this store. After a long wait to find someone that spoke english, I was told they do carry it. The man on the phone was very nice asked if I wanted it clean or with the skin. I wanted with the skin. He said he had to check. After about 5 minutes he came back on the line and said yes they have it. I was driving to the location while I was on the phone. I got there maybe 8 minutes after call ended 30 minutes since I started phone call. Again hard to find someone who spoke english , then the one person who did, not who I spoke to on the phone kept trying to give me pork shoulder. After translating pork belly on my phone to spanish he understood and said no they dont have it. I tried to say I literally just called . He said they dont carry it .... wasted about 1 hour of my time. I tried calling again while in the store to see who I spoke to the first time. After being on hold for another 6 minutes...

I love this store. I really feel real Mexican when I go to this store. I don't go often because I don't live in corona. But today I was I little disappointed because I want to buy a Mexican bread...but I want to carry out in one of those convenient brown boxes special for the bread. Unfortunately they don't carry those boxes. Will be very helpful if you guys carry those kind of boxes. I was planning to take that bread to San Jose...

This place has some great meat for carne asada, some of the best in town. Maybe Stater Brothers beats them. That’s all I buy here. The produce is not the best quality and not much selection. It’s good as a neighborhood market and in a pinch but you’ll pay higher prices. The store itself is small and cramped. Parking can be a hassle when it’s busy. Mexican bread is also sold here...
