First time going to El Torero today.I Found this place on google when I was looking for a Mexican restaurant that has real good albindigas soup. After reading the reviews we just had to try it. It is a very small but homey spot. It is very nostalgic of amazingly good homecooked authentic Mexican food. The food is just like my mom used to make. Food was so delicious I didn't even think to take pictures of our food. I just had to try what we ordered. My brother had the Albondigas. Which was so authentic and the best he has had out here in Corona from any of the other places we have tried. We tried a shredded beef hard shell taco. It was fresh and crispy flavorful shredded beef in it and it was not all greasy. My niece had the Pozolé. It was delicious had plenty of hominy, pork meatit was the perfect balanced ratio of both. The soup broth was so delicious. I chose the beef flautas combination plate. They were fried to perfection. Absolutely the best flautas I have ever had so crispy and non greasy. The beans and rice were just as delicious. I was also super excited they had my favorite of all time drink Orange whip. If your looking for some delicious amazing authentic Mexican food. El Torero is the place to go. The staff is so friendly make you feel like Family. I forgot to mention there Salsa is so so good. Serving size is pretty big portions. My flautas combination plate only had 2 flautas with rice & beans. I got so full I brought home 1 flauta and the other half of my rice & beans...
Read moreWe used to love coming here. They have some great food. Today I went in and ordered quite a bit of food including a machaca burrito to bring home for my husband. This burrito had no onions or tomato like they say it does. It was straight shredded beef and egg and not even any cheese. I called down there to speak with them and explained the situation. The man on the phone said there was nothing he could do to make it right. I offered to bring the burrito back in so he could look at it as my husband only took one or two bites. He said he wouldn't do anything to make it right. I just wanted them to make another with lots of onions and tomato and he said no. We come in here often and will not be going back. The quality of the food has suffered greatly since the new owners took over, horrible customer service and prices are...
Read moreI am so glad I decided to try this place. I actually meant to go to the little place across the street but ended up here by accident. It is a small restaurant only about 8 tables in there. It was almost noon and already crowded. They were pretty fast didn't have to wait long to order or to get my food. I took mine to go since it was so busy and no seats available. I got a chicken taco and a chicken tostada for just over $4 but the chicken tostada was supposed to only be a bean tostada so that's all I got charged for but I didn't realize it until I got home. Thanks for the free upgrade from bean to chicken by the way. And one thing is for sure they do not skimp on the ingredients I had tons of chicken on both the tostada and the taco. I will definitely be going back right after I try out the place...
