I came in today to quickly use the computer, and when I sat down there were stains, crumbs and dust. So I walked up to the desk and asked for some "Wet Ones" to clean up the work space. I was told, "We don't provide that anymore!" REALLY? That should be synonymous with having toilet tissue in the restrooms!? During COVID when I came by, you couldn't take a step without getting accosted to have a mask on. So I always acquiesced. Yet now, NO "Wet Ones" to clean the filthy computer spaces, because it's obvious --- no employees take the time to clean them. I included a picture of the dust --- that clean space is not a shadow . . . it is probably two (2) weeks worth of dust. and mites. C'mon, this isn't the inner city; this is Costa Mesa! Quit hording funds and purchase one of those drum-sized Wet One containers --- the first steps to another epidemic is cleanliness. OCPL, you are better than this . . . make it happen, NOW!!!

This is the closest library branch to my home unfortunately. This one always is overcrowded. Also it has the WORST toddler storytime. The lady who runs it is kind of rude. The seating is so weird, toddlers cannot really sit on the floor and you have to try to fight them into a chair the whole time. Adults take the chairs in the front rows so toddlers in the back cannot see the books. The lady who runs the storytime has a lot of rules and it really makes the whole experience not fun. So we end up going to other storytimes that are more toddler friendly. Really wish it was run better so I could enjoy the library in my neighborhood with...

The new auto renewal thing that the county is doing is a scam that just appears to exist to extort fines from patrons. Literally the DAY THE BOOK IS DUE - mid day, sometimes right before closing - they will send an email saying it did not renew.

Literally received an email just minutes ago saying a book due did not renew. It has one hold in transit on it and the librarian refused to renew the item - there are no other holds.

Beware - they want you to pay pay pay for these books! Do not check anything out from this system! The auto renewal is clearly a scam to get more money...
