Nail Lab and Spa — Local services in Costa Mesa

Well I don't know where & how they've received 4.6* but...moved to this area recently, looked for a nail shop near me. Read the reviews & decided to try nail lab. CONSUMER BEWARE!! I not only had to go back less than a week afterwards to fix a chip from the gel polish (which I didn't want gel in the first place & 2 techs chimed in to tell me I must!!) BUT.... WITHIN DAYS OF FIXING MY THUMBNAIL, A DARK SPOT ON MY RING FINGER AND THE OTHER THUMBNAIL STARTED TO SHOW THROUGH THE ACRYLIC!! & the glitter gel polish!! That's how badly I got INFECTED WITH 2 FUNGUS OUTBREAKS!! Who and which nail shops are STILL SO DIRTY AND UNSANITARY IN 2023 THAT THEY SPREAD NAIL FUNGUS ONTO CUSTOMERS?? I'm a hairdresser & I can't believe these people are so cheap that they refuse to use files and drill bit sanders only once / per customer to avoid spreading fungus and infections!! TAKE YOUR HEALTH INTO RISK BY PATRONIZING THIS...

I came here for the first time last week because of the overall good reviews and decided to splurge and got a mani/pedi with upgraded package. Unfortunately both women working with me cut my fingers and toes (2 fingers & 2 toes). My hands and feet hurt for days after and my pinky became infected. I paid almost $90 and was very disappointed. 6 days later and the manicure looked terrible. It was peeling from the sides, chipped, etc. so I’ve already removed the polish. At least my cuts are healed. The owner also texted me & tried to get me to take down my review on another platform by offering a refund first, which really bothered me. I told him it wasn't about the money and to donate it. He didn’t care that I had a poor experience, he just didn’t want my rating to affect his business. I really did not appreciate this...

Love everything about this place! They have great service and my nails gets compliments all the time! I’ve been looking for a good place to get acrylics and this place is it. The prices are great and they’ll never charge for additional without letting you know before they start. You’ll never have to worry about them adding $5 as they’re doing your nails because you ‘wanted extra flowers’ on them. They offer free drinks and they play the Ellen show on tv! I always get my nails done by Twee and she is the best. She’s so sweet and she never lets me or my nails down. Hands down the best place I’ve ever been to and great prices....
