My wedding at The Turnip Rose Promenade in Costa Mesa was an absolute dream! From start to finish, everything was seamless. No stress, just pure love, family, and an effortless, all-inclusive experience.
First and foremost, Barbi R. was a godsend. From day one, she was accommodating, gracious, and truly dedicated to making our big day as perfect as possible. She went out of her way at every turn to ensure my husband and I were completely satisfied. A true testament to her dedication: on the day of our wedding, we lost the adapter for our lighted sign. I had accepted that it would stay unlit, but Barbi didn’t! Without hesitation and without even being asked, she drove to the nearest hardware store and bought a replacement. Who does that?! She is genuinely one of the most caring and detail-oriented people I’ve ever met, and I am beyond grateful for her.
Another shout-out to Aubrey, the day-of coordinator provided by Turnip Rose. She was tiny but mighty! Even with my (very) energetic family, she kept everything running smoothly and made sure every detail was in place. We did the Platinum wedding package and we felt the benefits matched the value.
Now, let’s talk about the food, because it was a showstopper! Every single bite, from the appetizers to the final course, was high-class, high-quality, and exceptional. My family is incredibly picky, yet we received endless compliments for months about how amazing the food was! We chose the Classic Chicken Wellington & Petite Filet Mignon duet, and it was beyond perfect. The appetizers were just as impressive. The way everything was presented, white-gloved service silver dome and all, added an extra touch of elegance. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind having a second wedding (same husband!) just to relive that dining experience!
The venue itself is stunning! Romantic, private, and perfectly designed to flow from ceremony to reception without a hitch. The bride and groom suites were comfortable and well-appointed. Bonus, the wedding party was greeted with chilled wine. The outdoor space for the ceremony was beautiful, and the cocktail hour area had the perfect ambiance. Plus, there’s even a vineyard across the way for breathtaking photos. During our wedding we also experienced an amazing Golden hour glow that was extremely beautiful to witness. I appreciated that they offered so many all inclusive amenities. Everything on the table spread, excluding the flowers, were included! Plus a variety of options to personalize the space to your liking.
At the end of the night, Barbi and Aubrey were there with big hugs and parting gifts, a gesture that made us feel even more special. The night was pure magic and a perfect experience.
I guarantee you won’t regret choosing The Turnip Rose Promenade for your wedding. And the best part? They have a public café, so you can return anytime and relive the magic through their exquisite food. We’re making it tradition to go for lunch every year. Absolute game-changer.
Thank you to Barbi, Aubrey, and the entire Turnip Rose team for making our wedding day unforgettable! If you ever start offering that menu for small gatherings, just know my wallet is open and ready! See you...
Read moreMy wife and I just held our wedding reception at Turnip Rose over the weekend. We don't have a single complaint and the event exceeded our expectations. Our wedding coordinator, Barbi, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Planning a wedding in the midst of COVID comes with its challenges, but Barbi went above and beyond to make sure we had the party of our dreams despite the pandemic.
The eats were phenomenal. Several of our guests raved about the food, among them a cousin of mine who is a professional chef. Our photographer claimed it was some of the best food she's had at a wedding and she goes to weddings for a living. I'll list just a few of our food choices that got special mentions from our friends and family: chicken picatta, chicken flautas, gruyere sliders w/ fries, caesar salad.
The wait staff was seriously impressive. Everything was on time and the staff was attentive. The bartenders were friendly and quick. Our day-of coordinator, Aubrey, was on point and took care of everything and anything we needed on a moment's notice. The bridal suite was accommodating and came in clutch for keeping the younger kids somewhat contained and was a nice, quiet area for grabbing a quick breather before heading back out for more drinks and dancing.
The reception was executed flawlessly thanks to a collaboration between the Turnip Rose staff and our vendors. The whole venue looked beautiful and I'll update my review w/ some photos whenever we get them back. If I had to do it again, I'd go w/ Turnip Rose again. One of the best decisions of my life! Barbi, Aubrey, and the rest of the Turnip Rose crew: thank you, thank...
Read moreGreat location, outdoor seating is tree lined next to a small grassy park, a pleasant surprise amidst the surrounding industrial buildings. Walking up I was not sure if I was at the right location as it is in an industrial location. Once Inside I was greeted by friendly and professional staff. I was greeted not only by the cashier but a few individuals behind the counter. My cashier Janyne was extremely kind, helpful and professional. Her suggestion on the Ginger Chicken soup was just what I was looking for on the cool overcast So Cal afternoon, warmed me right up. Loaded with fresh dark and white meat chicken and rice with just the right kick of ginger. Quick to point out the best deal on the menu helped me make the right choices. The Turkey sandwich was served on some of the freshed bread I had sampled since my last visit to a bakery! Fresh greens, avocado and tomatoes made the sandwich light and fresh tasting. The small side quinoa and kale salad was fresh and light, complimented the soup and sandwich. As my eyes moved over to the fresh baked goods, Janyne helped me convince myself I should order the Reeses Peanut Butter cookie I had my eye on. As a hint, stop with one cookie, they are not small. To make things even better, Paradise Tropical tea is one of my favorite teas, crisp and fruity, must have been made fresh just before my arrival. I chose to sit outdoors and enjoy our cool weather, stepping outside reminded me of sitting outside at a winery in Paso Robles, which just happens to sit in the middle of an industrial area. Will I return? Of...
