RailsWest was absolutely wonderful. I just had my wedding here on May 17th and it was fabulous. Kat helped us with everything we needed. She made sure we had the tables and chairs we requested, plus closing the venue for the time block we needed.
The day was almost magical, it was so wonderful. Several trains went by during our time there, so we got to hear the horn and feel the rumble as they passed.
I am very pleased as a train enthusiast to have been able to have my wedding here. It was my first time marrying and I will always look back on that day with fondness.

Read moreOur small wedding was here, and I can't say enough good about it. It was the perfect venue in every way. Plenty of space for food, the cake, dressing, etc. The acoustics are fabulous. It is bright and cheery. And the museum manager, Kat, was an accommodating and gracious host. Perhaps a non-traditional venue, but absolutely perfect for train aficionados (a train even went by and tooted their horn just as we kissed--perfect timing!). Read moreI came there one day cause i love history. I was greatly upset by what I saw. The railroad station was ok there was a lot of good things to see there. But the condition of the trains was terrible. they were out in the open, exposed to the elements. The trains have rust spots on them from lack of care and even worse the rust was so bad in places that there were holes in the trains. This is criminal! These trains should be properly cared for! I'm surprised that they haven't been shut down...
