Martin Hughes House — Hotel in Council Bluffs

A beautiful old house that is loaded with charm and history. From the creaky floors, ornate woodwork, stained glass windows, and antique furniture that matches the period, it was truly an amazing experience. I loved waking up to the chirping birds and being able to interact with them! We stayed in room 1 which has its own bathroom and the room itself is huge. Of note, the bed is queen-sized and has a very thick memory foam topper. The temperature was perfect. There is a floor fan, ceiling fan and 2 radiator heaters. The owners do live on site, so it's a bit different than other places we've stayed. James was readily available by text if we had questions. Overall it was a super neat...
