I’m so grateful IYILA is back “in person” again! It’s a wonderful studio with welcoming & experienced teachers & the best yoga out there (imho, of course!) I’m a Boomer who’s tried many types of yoga thru the yrs., & found that Iyengar is a godsend. The studio is conveniently located in Culver’s City, free parking lot, reasonable prices & a benefit to body & mind…Lots of different classes offered, in person for beginners, people at intermediate levels & really something for anyone who’s interested. Students of all levels can find a class for them here. Teachers at this studio are all trained and certified in the Iyengar method, which is quite rigorous, which means they are very knowledgeable and the best able to help prevent or recover from injuries. I came to this practice to help support my emotional wellbeing after a divorce while also caring for an aging and sick parent, and this practice and community were essential in my remaining calm and present in my life. The Iyengar method is taught in 90 minutes sessions (w/ a few early morning in 75 minutes) by a team of well trained, certified, knowledgeable and experienced instructions. There are classes open to all and some for specific levels of practice. Limitations and injuries are acknowledged with guidance and acceptance. Questions are openly encouraged.
