After my visit here, I could not stop telling everyone I knew about this hidden gem! This cozy chocolate shop is such a treat, I wish we had more places like this. The decor and fun cacao-related products sold inside are so interesting and a great place for an intimate meet up. The Mayan sipping chocolate was my favorite, and I definitely recommend the chocolate tasting! For only $13 you get to try 13 pieces of dark chocolate, and it's shareable for 2 people. It was such a cool experience for my partner and I, and so was having a lovely chat with the owner. It's always nice to see a woman of color working (and excelling!) on a passion career, and the dark chocolate tasted even better knowing that the source was coming from good hands. I bought the pecan butter with cacao as a gift for my sister, who finished it in a week so I can confidently say that's a hit too, so I'll be back soon to try another cacao product (maybe the handmade cocoa butter lotion bars?).

Just went to Chocovivo for the chocolate tour. It was an amazing experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and we could feel her passion as she described the history of chocolate. This made the experience even better. We tried about 13 different kinds of chocolates along with the sipping drink. We also got to go to the back of the store and look how the whole process goes. We even got to use a small bean grinder to see how the cacao gets crushed. If you like high end quality chocolate, this is a great place to visit. Highly recommend it.

Gem of a find on the west side. Delicious beverages and an educational experience for foodies to learn about chocolate. Order in and enjoy the gorgeous pottery that the beverages are served in. Sustainable and delicious! My kind of place :)

This is not my first visit to ChocoVivo. I had stopped by years ago when she first opened on Abbot Kenny. The new store on Washington Blvd is awesome because I remember when she had the idea to open a social place where she can also create the chocolate fast forward to almost 4 years in the future and Boom!

First step in you are hit with the warm smell of pure Cacao. I ordered a sipping chocolate with a 100% and Mayan spiced (50%) mixture, blended in Hazelnut milk. It came out to almost $6 which is a bit pricey, but I think the price is worth it when you see their process, or lack there of in the way the Cacao is prepared. The most telling factor of the price is most definitely the taste. Nut milks normally get over cooked, leaving your cup full of a separated chalky tasting substance, unless you tell them to back off on the heat. In this case I forgot to and she hit the nail on the head. So its obvious she cares about the taste on not only her featured product, chocolate, but she also considers how the quality of her complementary ingredients will greatly effect the taste over all. A+ for caring.

I don't recommend you get what I had everyday, you'll go broke and have a serious addiction, but I do recommend this place when ever you want to taste something great and celebrate life.

P.s there's tons of other cool items on...

If you're a chocolate lover, you'll love this place! Chocolate tastings, chocolate drinks and other goodies! :)

I was warmly greeted by a couple staff members - Eric and Sean! They warmly welcomed me into the store and explained their menu and what they offered.

They have chocolate tastings!! YUM! :D They have several different types of chocolate. You had the option of doing a piece of chocolate for $1.50 each, 3 pieces for $3, or 6 pieces for $5.

I tried the 85% cacao, almond and sea salt, and coffee & vanilla bean. All of them were AMAZING! :)

They also have hot chocolate, iced hot chocolate and coffee drinks. I decided to go with the Hot Chocolate with 75% cacao and organic milk for $4.50. SO AMAZING! It's basically like a melted dark chocolate drink that just warms you up and brings out the biggest smile on any chocolate lover's face! :)

For parking, there are some meters and some residential parking. Can be a little difficult since it's right next to Water Loo.

They also sell chocolate bars, jams, and other goodies. And they have free Wi-Fi! :)

I am definitely coming back again! So happy that I live so close to this place! Perfect place for a date, to study or read, for dessert, or to just fulfill that...

This place is way more than a chocolate shop! From coffee, to tasting/pairing experiences, incredible self-care products and even CBD tinctures, ChocoVivo has so much to offer.

Random notes: Rose/Cacao hair and body oil is ADDICTIVE and gives me a glow The Wonder Balm is a new favorite!! It feels wonderful on the face/skin and smells like cacao and palo santo which is an intoxicating combination The unsweetened Hazelnut Choco butter is a great snack for those watching their sugar intake. It's rich, creamy and nutty and surprisingly, you won't miss the sugar. The Macadamia Coconut bar is always a go-to because the mac nuts and coconut give the bar extra good fats that melt in your mouth The Salted Brown butter cookies are a must, especially when they're fresh out of the oven! The Mayan Hot Chocolate is a must if you want to try something comforting yet complex, filled with various flavors and spices Offer vegan mylk alternatives and and vegan ice creams (coconut base, I think) Even have crystals and crystal + chocolate ...
