Stop & Shop — Attraction in Cumberland

One of the worst experience, first I walked in and I was rush to get my stuff,I totally understand it was almost 9pm, a guy approach me, he was wearing a purple shirt, he told me to hurry up cause it was time to close, I told him that I couldn’t run, cause I have a bad knee, and that I could slip and fall, I was trying to get milk for my daughter, and his response was that he could just tell me to leave the store, and that I was rude because I told him I was not running. I went to a cashier (heather), and I asked her manager’s name, her respond was she didn’t know the manager’s name, and then the guy approach me again, when I was at cash register (he was wearing purple shirt) and I ask him his name, he wouldn’t respond, and I ask again for his manager’s name he told me the manager’s name is Jim. And the cashier failed to give me my change, she only gave me a receipt. I would like a response from the manager, cause I have been a customer for more than 15 years for stop and shop and I have never been treated this way by any employee at stop and shop. I would be going in the store tomorrow to get my money and trust me, I would not recommend no shop there no more. I felt harass and uncomfortable when this guy in the purple shirt talk to me, I finally got out of the store and asked one of the guys outside pushing the shopping carts for their manager’s name and he told me, that the guy with the purple shirt name is Anthony. Anthony is very unprofessional and rude, he needs customer service training, because the way he approach me it was wrong and definitely not...

Went in today with my kids and charged all my fruits and vegetables on my wic card it charged me three times on my card I went in with 20$ for fruits and vegetables and left with 5$ on my wic card and also showed me on my wic card app that stop and shop took it they still told me it didn’t go through and took my juices and cheese for my kids and also told me it was a state issue because I was on wic never happened to me before I’m going to call cooperate in the morning my issue was not solved and they tried to embarrass me saying i was on wic and it was a state issue I also took went to pricerite right down the street and used my last 5$ for fruits and vegetables becuase stop and shop robbed me and had no issue I’m never going to this stop shop again and told me they couldn’t do nothing to help me why have a manager on duty that can’t help you her name was Diane I don’t think she knew what she was doing clearly showed I was charged on my receipt. I went in the next day 10/16/23 during the night shift I came in with my receipts and I didn’t even have to show the proof on my wic app because it showed on the receipt I was charged for all the items the night manger was so nice and helpful and helped me and she made me feel like a human her name was phylise she knew absolutely what to do and made my day so much better that’s what you call a good manager and I’m only giving 5 stars because of her she deserves more the 5 stars thank you...

Store is clean and well organized. Prices at this store are middle of the road (in case you weren't aware, prices and fliers vary store to store). Service is about what you would expect in a large chain store such as this. They are very willing to help once you can locate someone. A lot of great selections. Wonderful produce section. Not a lot of new items, like unknown vendors, or just 'different' products. Very little so far as pre-prepared hot foods. Nice deli area. Like most it is busy depending on time of day, but you can place an order and continue shopping, and return for your order when done. Nice little bakery area where you can select from the shelf, or pre-order different pastries, birthday cakes, etc.. Large butcher shop with extensive meat cases. Be aware this is a large store. There are two entrances, one at the North end and one at the South end. If you have difficulty getting around you should take advantage of their motorized carts. OVERALL I would rate as follows: This is a large, clean, chain-store with fairly standard selections.
