A little quick stop in #OakCliff at the Bargain City Bazaar
Rachel RamirezRachel Ramirez
I have been coming to this place for over 20 years. Today, August 3rd, 2025 I had the worst experience ever with “Emicar Signs” and “Party Shirts” in the first floor down to the left on the main entrance. At first glance, a so called “Maria” was helping my father in law pick out some construction shirts. He didn’t know any better so he went with the first thing he saw. I notice literally 5 minutes after the purchase that the polyester was too thick, I went back to the booth asking for some type of exchange or refund. We asked POLITELY, and “Maria” responded aggressively stating that “he’s not a little kid, he can choose for himself” what type of customer service is that??? She continued to aggressively say we couldn’t get a refund because she has a sign stating so. I found it extremely funny what sign she was talking about. I will attach it afterwards. The sign was completely covered!! They 100% take advantage of hardworking people. It be your own people! We were celebrating he finally got his green card so he’s never truly shopped anywhere here in the US. So this being his first experience was the worst. I hope they go through the footage and see how she aggressively she affirmed us afterwards, I’m sure it’s not the first time this has happened with their “business”. Update: husband’s name is ISMAEL MENDOZA. He also neglected our service.

Visited on a Friday around 11am and it was not busy at all which I appreciated. They do have various vendors all throughout the Bazaar but unfortunately they are all repeated vendors. They consist of jewerly, quinceañera & party dresses, Mexican artisan knick knacks, Weastern wear, Mexican snacks, candy, food and Antojitos. Good variety to choose from though with different price options all throughout. Nice size and a good time to spend a few hours just browsing and looking at things. They have a huge parking lot with plenty of parking spaces to choose from as well.

I am an oak Cliff native and I chose to go to the bazaar not because I don’t have the funds to go to a “higher end “ mall or shopping center, No instead I chose to come here because I love the idea of putting money back into my community rather than spend it with the big rich companies . But I notice I don’t get treated with respect if their is an error on their behalf. For example I went to a cell phone Repair shop to get my screen fixed (it was cracked) I was offered a warranty so I purchased it. The warranty did not come with any limitations or regulations just the screen was under warranty . Well the next day I noticed my screen was being weird pressing apps on its own and colors appeared. I didn’t feel angry or mad because I knew that I had the warranty . Well when I went back and expressed the issue that happened . They treated me like a totally different person , and we’re very rude and said they won’t give me the warranty but they will give me a $5 discount. I felt played but I did not let my feelings dictate my actions or control me and I just simply told the man it’s fine I’ll go somewhere else and if that’s how he wants to run his business so be it n if he wants to lose a customer that’s fine. This is not the first incident that has occurred at the end of the day I am just tired of supporting “bargain city bazaar” because when I go there I come with the mindset of supporting my neighborhood and my culture , but when I see and feel that I am not valued as a customer it pushes me further and further away from going back when I can just go to the higher end jewelry stores , clothing stores , and cell phone repair shops and get treated with much more respect and appreciation. I feel like they need to do a lot better because people that got bread and are willing to spend their hard earned money there won’t if they keep that up it’s not okay and it’s not how a business should be ran. With that being said I hope some of the vendors Actually read the reviews and take that into consideration because it’s not a good feeling and they can do...
