Central Bark Park — Attraction in Dallas

It's a lovely park for dogs & their people. Dogs have a large & well tended area to run & play & get a drink of water. I enjoy the walk along the river, too! I appreciate the fenced area for small dogs. I love it there! The only issue I have is that the small dog area has gaps between the ground and the bottom of the gates, and between the gates and their posts that are large enough for a small dog to quickly get through. This is the only enclosed Dog Park for off leash play, we found in Dallas. Luckily most of the people and their large breed dogs are very friendly and patient/understanding with small breeds because every time we’ve been there, there’s never any dogs in the small breed side. So we ended up taking our little ones to the large breed side to play and socialize. (And for me to socialize 😉😁) Would’ve given 5 stars if the city would refill the 💩 bags and grow some grass (not just weeds)...

It was only okay because my dog was attacked and wounded in the face. Someone disregarded the rules and brought in a dog that was in an aggressive mood, and then flatly blamed it on my dog for walking past. Disapointing, especially having been informed of dog maulings and deaths at this location.
