Puking up blood and the nurse is clearly getting frustrated because my partner can't keep still obviously from puking blood and continues to get visibly frustrated and repeats 3 times telling her to hold still and how she needs to keep her arms up for the blood pressure check but clearly unable to due to profusely puking blood and just seemed in a hurry to get it over with so thanks nurse Glycanma for your hospitality and unworried attitude, there's also no hurry in this place it seems puking blood would cause attention but guess I'm not a doctor either but this place is probably the worst ER or it's just Oregon health care in general as this is what the service and quality always is.... Apparently only one nurse as well? Why do I keep seeing so much staff run by but apparently there's one nurse? Honestly what a joke Took 30 minutes to get IV's and fluids and fighting with the staff to even view what's happening as an emergency, I contacted over the nurse phone and no one seemed any bit of concerned and finally since more and more blood kept getting thrown up I went down to reception where I was given a crappy attitude on basically how unserious the situation is and was very condescending even though she's an RN I'll ask her name and post it here when I find out because I feel that behavior is extremely inappropriate but word for word she told me the nurses and staff are busy and the doctor will come save her in a second so don't worry but it's been over 30 minutes later while more and more bloods being puked up and you haven't even analyzed the situation yourself nor has anyone... Well 30 minutes later the lady in the office who was condescending was apparently supposed to be our nurse the entire time after hooking up IV's and getting medication our problem was resolved rather quickly but we should've been assisted asap with the situation at hand, it took me 30 minutes and bugging the staff and getting attitude to finally get assistance that we should have been offered as we arrived non stop puking blood. Edit to add with picture of the reason of today's visit is absolutely infuriating, from the moment we were in the door my partner was literally puking blood and literally the entire way through security and than even puking while checking in and being checked out by the pre examiner and it makes me feel this is why there was no sense of urgency when we finally did get seated and a room and mind you there was absolutely no one else at the time we came in and there was quite literally a Walmart store bag filled with puke and blood not to mention the multiple other bags needed throughout our time here, no one checked the bags either or even seen what it was looking like, absolutely awful and I never caught the name of our nurse but she was almost bald and condescending until she actually checked the situation out changed her attitude real quick into a fake nice one, love Oregon healthcare...

I had been sick for a while and thought I was recovering, until yesterday, when I developed a pain around/behind my eye. I took ibuprofen, Tylenol, and a sleep aid, but it wasn't feeling any better after a while. I'm the type who avoids going to a hospital, but my wife said she could see some swelling, and frankly, the pain was becoming alarming and I was nervous about allowing it to get worse before seeking help. I went to the ER around 11 p.m.

I got there and waited in the lobby for at least half an hour, maybe longer. It was very calm in there. No one else was around besides security. Then they took me to a room, and I eventually dozed off from the sleep medicine I had taken. Dr. Charlotte Ransom entered, and without an examination of any kind, told me it was sinus congestion. I checked my watch and saw that I had been there for hours (it was now almost 2 a.m.)

I asked if there was no concern that it could be an infection or something that could maybe be serious — I expected to be prescribed an antibiotic or something. She did the fastest check of my ears and throat that you could imagine — it honestly felt kind of pretend, like as soon as the plastic touched my ear, it was out. She said to just keep doing what I had been doing, taking more ibuprofen and Benadryl, etc.

The time it has taken you to read this message could possibly have been as long or longer than the time she saw me. And then it was done - nothing was done. I had to continue waiting to receive a printout summary.

Here I am, the next day, just trying to stay on top of the pain with ibuprofen. I have to watch over my toddler until evening, so I can’t take a Benadryl yet. I'm relying on my age/body (under 40) to beat whatever is going on with it by just waiting it out.

This final bit I want to share is the hard part to write. I wanted to talk to someone about it before leaving the hospital. I felt so bad, but didn't know what to say. Even though I thought I was going untreated, the way I felt was… mistreated. Neglected might be more accurate. The thought of them billing my insurance company for all that time waiting in their room and being dismissed in 30 seconds without truly being seen — there is some feeling this stirs in me that...

If I could give zero stars I would. I have influenza & I was told to go back to emergency as I had become so weak I couldn’t walk or really move my arms, and my doctor was concerned it had turned into pneumonia. My partner wheeled me up to admitting desk. The nurse asked me to sign a form. I say I can’t I’m having trouble even lifting my arms can my finance do it for me because I’m so weak. She says no because we aren’t married. I said I don’t know what to do I can barley close my hand around the pen. I pick it up to try & while I’m trying I ask can I give verbal consent instead? She says no, I put the paper down after doing my best to sign it & I say I don’t know what else to do I’m to weak to sign it properly. She throws the pen down it hits the desk, and says she will just write down that I refuse to do it. I say whoa I’m not refusing I’m just struggling to sign it because I’m so weak from the flu. She then rudely picks up the paper & say’s looks like you could do it & is slamming everything around. I try to explain again that I have no problem signing it’s that I’m weak. At this point she is really attacking us. My partner & I were shocked. I was crying at this point because I can barley move & I’ve never ever been treated this way by a medical professional. We were in no way rude or combative. I’m honestly too weak to even be rude back. My partner decided to wheel me out & go somewhere else. It took me 30 minutes to get someone to calm me down. When you choose to work at the emergency I would assume it’s a given that you are working with people who are very sick & might not be fully able. I was humiliated, treated disgustingly & am still frankly in shock. This person should lose there job. If I was treated that way & practically done nothing but be too weak to sign a paper, so I was being refused care. I can’t imagine how she treats...
