I recently found myself in a tough situation. I had run out of gas and realized I had left my wallet at home. In that moment of need, I reached out to Dallas West Church of Christ, hoping someone might be able to assist. Without hesitation, Brother Berry answered the call with grace and understanding. Although he was preparing to head into a meeting, he assured me he’d help and he kept his word. Shortly after, he and Brother James showed up, ready to assist someone they had never even met.

Their act of kindness was more than just a favor it was a reminder of what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ. They didn’t question me, judge me, or delay. They simply served and that speaks volumes.

As someone who dedicates his life to youth advocacy, mentorship, and encouraging people through platforms like my podcast (The Inspire Before We Expire) and my mental health initiative (Mental Health Matters), it was powerful to receive such genuine care and support from a church community. In a world where compassion sometimes feels rare, Dallas West Church of Christ reminded me that faith and action can still walk hand in hand.
